They invented a made up white character in position of power to fan the flames of racial conflict and give these characters the hardship they didnt in fact had to endure. Thats all you need to know about this movie. It deserves no sympathy and excuses. Stolen valor.
If anything, it makes modern black women look awfully terrible. Their ancestors could sort and deliver mail in a war...and modern black women can't even manage to efficiently run the DMV.
And they did that because trying to slander a real general from that time would have gotten them dragged far more than they already did. Imagine that, taking a general who lead the forces against the nazis or imperial japanese and then just portraying them as a racist piece of garbage. Only reason we aren't as pissed about it as we really should be is because they made up a fake character.
@shortwave737 God forbid they ever portray anything other then a "racist piece of shit" when it comes to historical White figures in a Hollywood film lol.

The only thing DEI proves its its not racism or sexism that is the problem, Its the complete lack of talent in those groups. Women claim they can do anything men can, but even with all the boosts and incentives there is still a lack of results. Who could have guessed that giving out degees in racism and sexism doesnt help people perform well in the workforce.
The sad part is women can be incredibly capable. My grandmother was one of the most capable people I've ever known.(And she hated feminists) But I haven't met another woman like her in decades.
You literally just explained it yourself as to why people still make accusations of sexism and "raycism" its because it represents a very real reality.
The most optimistic take I can even conjure is that all this DIE bs had opened the floodgates for people of mediocre skill who shouldn't have gotten into advanced career fields as easily or numerously as they have. My personal take, and feel free to call me any ism, phobe, or bigot you want, is that women and certain ethnicities really are mediocre when it comes to said advanced career fields. Without DIE overinflating incentives, only a rare few would have both the natural interest, and capability to perform in said field.

The real travesty is not showing the real "minority" contributions of which there are truly many. This case here, jewish brigade in the Italian Campaign, Gurkhas and Indian division also there, black characters in regular outfits. Jewish soldiers fighting for the german army in ww2, etc. The point here is that these are EXCEPTIONS to the rule of millions upon millions of other fighting men doing their job and dieing in the hunderds of thousands. One minority contribution film/series is fine but nowadays its all about them for woke reasons alone. That is the real travesty.
The finnish Jewish batallion during Continuation war part always cracks me up. "Let's have a saturday seremon within earshot of our 'brothers in arms' that discriminate our fellows in their home". To be fair the wehrmacht troops tewy were assinged to fight alongside were mostly curious.
Psst, the "jewish soldiers" were in fact mischlings, which were acceptable under the Nuremberg Laws. Looked down upon for their questionable heritage, and certainly not eligible for the SS, but otherwise German.
16:30 You need to read up on German women, such as the Luftwaffenhelferinnen "auxiliary female flak troops" Like the Russian snipers, they fought on the wrong side. The Germans generally tried to keep these women behind the front lines, but by 1945, as the front began to collapse, they often found themselves as the new front lines. There were about half a million of them. While most likely broke and fled, some did hold there ground and continue to operating there flak guns, under fire, to destroy Russian tanks, or launching counterattacks to retake villages. Hundreds of these women received the Iron Cross, primarily combat nurses.
Everyone glorifies the female russian snipers cuz of their kill counts. Problem is most people dont know that those groups were just as likely to light up Russian soldiers as much as foreign forces. So up to half their kills were friendlies. That being said it was supposedly cuz russian men were kinda grapy so to prevent it they just never let untrusted platoons near them.
Alright, If Netflix had the BALLS to make a movie about these women portraying them as anything besides total monsters I would actually give them kudos. That is actually an interesting story.

Yes he deserves a movie being the inventor and co founder of the universal computation machine in theory i.e. the computer. But that movie was only made to just shout "GAY GAY GAY". That wasn't his personality. Bombe wasn't a surrogate for his "forbidden" boarding school first love. Oh the best part is that treatment and materials for his Chemical Castration are the *exact same ones* for Transitioning and other therapies of that ilk.
The problem is that it’s preachy, and not entertaining therefore woke. I love old war movies that are pure fiction like “ Kelly’s heroes” etc. So I don’t mind if the “historic” movie is inaccurate.
Kelly's Heroes was so amazing and out of pocket that I swear that I'd believe that thay would happen since there are many funny and unusual stories during the war. Like Castle Itter where the Germans, Americans and French celebrities protecting a medieval castle from a wave of Nazis.
Hidden figures encapsulate the issue... fictional characters, fighting fictional issues, movie vastly overstated minor contributions, scream racism when people call you on it.
That's what I thought of, there was even an interview with the central figure in that film and she said that the racism in the film was made up. They just didn't have time for all of that at the time, they were too busy trying to beat the Soviets.
I don't think there needs to be a concern about rejecting legitimate history. The problem is that both Hollywood and our education system have a history of bastardizing...well, history, long before the blight we are enduring today. So we're already having to take stories about history with a big ol' grain of salt, and having to research a subject afterwards to sift out the truth from the fabrication is tedious. I don't reject history, but a lot of what is fixated on simply doesn't qualify as entertainment for me. I'm particularly not interested in the worship of racism; even if the show in question was 100% accurate, I wouldn't watch it. Has nothing to do with rejecting history, and more to do with rejecting stories I don't consider entertaining. Add to that the (largely unnecessary) fiction Hollywood weaves into almost everything it does, and the obnoxious divisive agenda of current day, and you've got something that doesn't even conjure morbid curiosity.
There is absolutely concern about rejecting legitimate history. They are already rewriting history as we speak. The next generation is growing up believing in false ideas.

We can just define what woke is. The definition I have gone with for a long time is: "Woke is political activism based on left wing social justice issues and narratives"
@@georgebailey8179 It is a worthless definition. Just like the issue you brought up with woman. It is not a definition actual people will use and it will not stand the test of time as it is unworkable. It only causes the issue brought up in the video.
That's a very concise definition! I've gone with something akin to "Awakening to a delusion, seeing issues where they don't exist, and using activism to 'fix' something that isn't broken". Very much like Don Quixote tilting at windmills, believing they are giants, and ending up doing little more than damaging property. "Woke" is a gross parody of an awakening--it's a 'why' almost more than a 'what'.
@@Cloud_Seeker It's intentionally useless, to drive home how useless their definition of "woman" is. If I were to try for a more serious definition, it would be something like: "ascribing the cause of all human problems to conspiracy theories such as the patriarchy and white supremacism".
@Cloud_Seeker I agree with that definition. The problem is no one, most likely not even you will stand by that definition. Woke by that definition has existed since the early 1900s at minimum. The sad part is that 99% of people today who have a problem with "woke" stuff have already accepted and support the extremely destructive woke stuff that has already taken place. (Universal suffrage, immigration, civil rights, human rights, and desegregation at gun point via the US military.) The modern woke stuff is nothing in comparison. It's a minor annoyance at best. The real evil shit has already taken place, and people love and support it. Why anyone even complains about it confuses me. So even if everyone adopted your definition, it really doesn't matter because no one can agree on the definition of individual words used to construct your definition. Hell, you probably don't even understand the definition of half of them. No offense, but most people today don't understand that words have set in stone definitions that can not change under any circumstance. Todays conservative right-wing issues and narratives are yesturdays radical, woke, left-wing, SJW issues and narratives.
After all the things that I personally lived through that I've seen retconned into something that is observably false in real time since the 2000s I've developed a bit of a paranoid distrust of history as I understand it in general tbh. I've always been an obsessive history buff, but the way that recent history is warped and lied about institutionally today has given me a bit of a complex where beyond the broad stuff Im skeptical of everything, I can't help it knowing how easy it is to lie about the recent past how does one trust anything that they understand about a more distant past? Im sure I'm not the only person with such a complex, I also fear that it's a part of intentional demoralization.
History is more accurate and reliable the further you get away from it. We know things about Rome that the Roman's didn't know about. We are far enough away from Rome that no one really has any emotional, financial or ideological connection to it to have a desire to lie or manipulate its history. It will take a thousand years and a completely different civilization to even understand accurately what started WWII and anything resembling truth about WWII.. it's nothing but hyperbolic made up nonsense at this point in time... Take the Holocaust, that alone is an industry that generates billions and billions of dollars a year. Of course we don't know anything resembling the truth about it. Hell, they even have all these cute little "theme parks of horror" set up all over Europe. You can pay to see piles of shoes and Doctor Mengeles masturbation machine 🤣
I'm with you on that score, and it's one of the many reasons that I eye any "historical" media with skepticism. Like you, I've seen facts twisted and maligned in real time, and I'm sure the so-called history books of my schooling are rife with the same affliction. Happily, I don't base my life in any way on things that happened so long ago that I have no way of validating their accuracy. It does suck from a historical fascination point of view, or an entertainment perspective, but there are plenty of true stories unsullied by Hollywood and our education system. I never wanted to be famous, but seeing how willing people are to pervert history for an agenda, makes me even more averse to the notion. The chances of my actual deeds, motives, and beliefs actually surviving the rampant revisionism seem painfully slim.
yes there are plenty of sources from the ancient times that recount events that didn't happen or add some flair to it. That's the real job of historians, cross reference everything like a mf with what there are decent proof of and get at the truth (tm)
8:20 There is a simple explanation for this. In the earlier period, Japan believed that if they modernized and acted "Civilized" that they would earn the respect of the west and be treated as a peer. But the Washington Naval treaty and several other incidents have caused them to come to the conclusion that no matter what they do they will never get the respect of the western powers, and so they threw all of the"Civilized" crap out and went for a more universal language to get respect, "Power." If they become powerful enough, then the West would Have to respect them. Thats why in their earlier period they went above and beyond to show themselves as a civilized nation but later abandoned that strategy when it proved to not be working.
It wasn’t just the whole “civilized” thing. It wasn’t consciously “thrown out”. Japan had a lot of propaganda at the time about being superior and a military-focused propaganda against surrendering.
@@Adelina-293 If you wanted to make an interesting film about this subject you'd presumably make it about both the mail sorters and some men on the front line, so that you could show the effect the mail had on the soldiers. eg. you could show a soldier character who was desperate and terrified, and he received a letter which gave him something to cling onto, that kind of thing. But then you'd have to make it, partly, about evil white men laying down their lives and not the heroic black women sorting post.
"Hidden Figures" is the bulk of the impetus for the backlash to this movie. Telling people that the NASA Space Program was secretly run by a group of black women, and evil white males just took all the credit has poisoned this particular well.

You don't know forced DEI until it lands you in a hospital. I nearly lost a leg helping a DEI hire. But the mail was important in ways people who grew up with the internet people may not understand. There's another movie called The Postman that goes into the detail of it more I haven't seen it in a long time now. Anyone who participated in getting the mail out during such times of war was indeed a participating hero to some extent. Technology has faded the importance of what we now consider snail mail.

In total, nearly 350,000 American women served in uniform during World War II. These women took on non-combat roles in order to free up more men to fight. They continued to work clerical jobs as they did during World War I, but they also drove vehicles, repaired airplanes, worked in laboratories and cryptology, served as radio and telephone operators, rigged parachutes, test-flew planes and even trained their male counterparts in air combat tactics. Netflix could have made a fantastic film.
But that would require actual effort and thought, when they can instead make up a whole issue to say "See, the past was ____ ist, phone, ism, etc" The people making these movies and shows are creatively bankrupt, and incapable of actual thought.
The thing is if this movie HAD come out in 1996-1998 we know that it probably would have had a lot better writing, unlike now so yes technically we probably would have liked it but then again it probably would have been an all together diffrent movie with a better told story.
It is extremely annoying how some insist on inserting themselves into historical events that they contributed very little to. Even more that they try to make themselves the victim.
One of my uncles was a supply sergeant on Guadalcanal. He went in with the Marines in the initial attacks. He received his promotion on the island. And he would work out of the airfield as a supply sergeant. So he would have been dealing with these mail related and acquisitions like fuel, parts, gun delivery's etc all the time. Until he was then moved to the pavuvu Islands.
People would love to watch that. Part of a lot of old shows involved logistics in some episodes. Things like the Black Sheep TV show comes to mind. They could've found a more factual and engaging story if they wanted. Even in modern times. I served with a guy while in the Marines who was an Expeditionary Logistics Specialist with the Navy. He has medals and ribbons out the butt including a French Commemorative Medal. As a supply clerk.
Very true. And to be fair, how many people find racism, sexism, or any other societal affliction all that entertaining? It's nowhere near universal, and, even if 100% accurate, it's not the kind of story I have any interest in.
To be fair they didn't just sort mail as they also censored mail. Opening and skimming the contents for wrong think. Something this "documentary" completely omits.
You clearly don’t understand the concept of operational security. There are certain details that you can’t give. There’s also the issue of keeping morale up both at home and at the front. That might not be the best way to do it, but there’s a reason for it. It’s not just “wrongthink” in the normal sense of the term.
The enlisted agreed to it. Drafted or no that’s what being in the service means, you’re government property. Did they bother with the incoming mail from civilians? Im not aware, I can see them doing it to the outgoing 100%
I actually had a similar take when I saw this trailer. The framing they decided to use was so dumb. This was actually an opportunity to show a large group of women that did contribute to the war effort by getting letters out to the front to give heart to the men fighting for the final push to end the war. But instead they made this stupid thing. It was compassionate and feminine that they put their energy into moving this huge quantity of mail because they knew the men fighting would get a morale boost and needed that.
Personally one of my favorite movies that also glorified the contributions of black Americans in World War II was The Tuskegee Airmen released in 1995. It was much better than the later film Redtails which tried to cover the same unit. The Tuskegee Airmen covered everything from their training to their contributions in Europe.
while it was an important job when it came to the morale of the soldiers to get letters from their loved one , framing it as if it was a giant heroic thing like D-day or the Soviets fighting in stalingrad is wild
I think you hit the nail on the head. Even if it's (loosely) based on a real thing that happened, it couldn't possibly be more apparent that they're making the movie to point fingers at people in the current year. I don't even care how historically accurate it is or or isn't - it was made for political reasons, and that's enough reason for me to not waste my time with it.
At least that'd be an interesting watch albeit for morbid reasons unlike this which even with the loose historical basis is just a gimmick with no value past 10 seconds of novelty except as yet more agitprop for modernity
This movie did exactly what it was meant to, as we see from Asmongold. He believes that this is a proper correct historical recreation, made up racism and all.
SOME wooden ships. There were also a number of wooden ships used by most powers in WW2. E-boats. PT-boats, a notable proportion of cargo ship superstructures, and most ships had wooden top decks. Asmond is pretty lazy about his takes. He comes off as being jaded about his fame, simply wanting to cruise through, while the waves are calm. He's, unfortunately, the type to sell out after a couple years after his relevancy yields to the next 'new hottness'.
Wait, wait, wait... Did he actually say that unironically? "I guess they didn't have email back then." I can't tell if he's being serious. If he was joking, he's got one hell of a deadpan face. If he was being serious, holee fook.... Besides, it's all pointless anyway. I'm not disparaging what they did, wartime mail was an absolute disaster on many fronts. Especially for those in rural areas where it was fairly common to get a visit from an officer and a priest to tell you your son/father/husband was killed overseas, obly to have a letter they wrote show up a month later. I'd have to imagine that's a kick in the crotch like no other. But it's the mail. There is nothing you can do to make that exciting short of showing carriers charging through a hail of dive bombers and artillery bombardments. Even then, that schtick only goes so far. But sorting and getting mail on track to be delivered from a Post Depot is not something anyone gives a f*** about. Sorry, that's just the way it is.
I think that the label "Nazi" was seldom used by the NS Party... it is another contrivance of the western media to reinforce the stereotype... oh, and laziness/ignorance.
The tuskeegee airmen is another overblown account. My grandfather was a pilot in Europe and told a very different story about them, and how ineffective they were.
I say this, I’d love a show or movie honoring the support troops who are never glorified because they never saw combat but who kept the Armies fighting and the troops as happy as possible. This is the wrong way to do it.
The night witches main effect was to create fear, they would cut their engines and bomb - somewhat ineffectual - but the German troops initially were rather freaked out by it.
If you wanted to show women during WW2 then the WAAF's (Women's Auxiliary Air Force), or the ATS (Auxiliary Territorial Service) would probably be the way to go? Or if they were desperate to show 'racism' in WW2 then the Battle of Bamber Bridge had plenty of that (at least on the American side).
I hate when people say america is only raycists. It's only more noticable because unlike the rest of the "tolerant' Europeans america had to live with them and knew what it was like.
You are thinking of the WAAF - Women's Auxiliary Air Force. Without them so much of the RAF would fail to function. They formed the core of the Dowding System and were on essentially on the frontlines during the battle of Britain, forming much of the staff at RAF bases and airfields. We see them in the film Battle of Britain in the sector control rooms. They flew replacement aircraft in pretty much every theatre, everything from spitfires and hurricanes to lancaster bombers.
yeah thats some of these progressive people evolving into hiding their messaging better. the evil part is that its still historical revisionism, but it has just enough fiction in there so that they can say its just made up when called out, but on the background its based on actuall events so it leaves the impression of authenticity to many people that are none the wiser, like asmon that are always too lazy to do 2 minutes of research, which is the goal.

I know some Canadians who are actually, genuinely bitter about the British side of Normandy, because while Commonwealth troops pushed the furthest on their beach of the lot of 'em, they were hampered by having to wait for the British, who decided to... Stop for lunch, in the middle of an invasion, while knowing full well that there were other forces who they were supposed to be linking up with. No seriously. Only to be overshadowed at every turn by basically every other beach, in terms of publicity.
A really good story that is actually very black empowering would be the story of Eugene Bullard, the Black Swallow of Death, who fled racist Georgia to go to France and became a hero to the entire country. It would be so so good!
Fat Electrician covered that story recently, it's super good. But honestly, do you expect ANYBODY in Hollywood to do the bare minimum of research for such people? Even if they did, they'd sully his legacy somehow
"Morning Eugene. Say, what's that medal you got there?" "Oh, this is the French Legion of Honour. President de Gaulle gave it to me when he visited New York." "... ... Wut?"
The military nurses of Bataan and Corregidor and their internment at University of Santo Thomas would be a good story. The Red Cross girls assigned to the ETO is another one. The US Amy black nurses who were assigned to the Western Front is another. There are good stories from the Soviet, German, Finnish , Polish, American ,Canadian, Australian, Kiwis, and others about women who served their respective countries and the sacrifices they made during WWII and the real struggles they faced, those are the movies that needed to be made. Not invented ones to promote a racial narrative.

The paper cuts, the letters soaked in perfume, the packages filled with stale food, the boredom of being safe waaaaaaaaay behind the front lines, having lukewarm coffee, having to stand for hours without shoes without good arch support! My God, they had it worse than the boys that stormed the beaches of Normandy! So stunning, sooooo brave!
Thank you Arch that's what I said when he heard Americans and British seeing my grandad was with the Canadians at Juno as one of the British Pioneer companies on D-day
They invented a made up white character in position of power to fan the flames of racial conflict and give these characters the hardship they didnt in fact had to endure.

We can just define what woke is. The definition I have gone with for a long time is:
"Woke is political activism based on left wing social justice issues and narratives"
I go with "woke is anything I identify as woke". If anyone has a problem with a self-referential definition, I ask them what a woman is.
There was a saying in the USSR that went something like; "In the Soviet Union the future is certain, it's the past that keeps changing."
@schwaaard Very wise my friend. I wished more people could see this truth.
France is unfit to rule anything, one thing Japan did not understand about "the west"

Its best to not make the film if this is the best example you can come up with.
Its the investors that are pushing for diversity, but over a decade after gamergate where are all the female game companies?
Where are the female* made games?
*Born female, not Identify as female but also attracted to females.
16:34 us Americans used to be smart enough to keep our women well away from the war so they wouldn’t have to become heroes or die horribly on the combat zone
That only makes sense prior to feminism. All men are required to sign up for the draft, if he doesn't sign up he loses the right to vote. That requirement doesn't apply to women. Thanks to feminism, women have more voting rights than men.
Trust me, once the women in black plastic bags draped in a flag start coming down a cargo ramp the feminists will shut up verrrrry quickly.
Weve been pavlovs dogged into immediately rejecting anything and everything that even has a HINT of wokness in it, whether said wokness is intentional or not. And honestly I think this is a good thing in the short term.
And also a good thing in the long term.

The Postman is so underrated.
Even during the Internet Age, getting mail while you’re deployed is a definite boost to morale.
The subject matter isn't the issue, the made up racists oppressing the poor minorities in a country that never had America's overblown racial issues in the first place is the problem.
Ask the people of the Ttian submersible they litrally got killed because of DEI
@@Zeriel00Everyone involved where European
@@Zeriel00 The engineer that left an electrical hazard unsafe at a public pool is how I nearly lost my leg. The senior electrician said I will talk about surviving that job for the rest of my life and he was right. I have been living with the complications of surviving an electrical burn.
I almost cannot believe the Titan situation was DEI responsible but if that is true, it is another result of forced and recklessly rushed DEI policies. That is why I speak up about DEI in critical life safety positions. There are less critical things DEI can do.
This movie is about delivering the mail? What next? An exciting tale about a tax audit?

In total, nearly 350,000 American women served in uniform during World War II.
These women took on non-combat roles in order to free up more men to fight. They continued to work clerical jobs as they did during World War I, but they also drove vehicles, repaired airplanes, worked in laboratories and cryptology, served as radio and telephone operators, rigged parachutes, test-flew planes and even trained their male counterparts in air combat tactics.
Netflix could have made a fantastic film.
But that would require actual effort and thought, when they can instead make up a whole issue to say "See, the past was ____ ist, phone, ism, etc"
The people making these movies and shows are creatively bankrupt, and incapable of actual thought.
@ I know and it’s very sad
I mean the Asian Americans had their own 369th Regiment in the 442nd. They fought like hell in Europe for far longer
asians are white-adjacent and are in general whooping their back on movies and games so obviously they are not "diverse" anymore
sorry asians arent acceptable as diverse enough and they were men so it doesn't fit the paradigm.
Well, for people to become that trigger happy on the X button, is just the natural consequence of pushing DEI everywere.
Exactly it's just victim blaming at this point.
The world is multi cultural and multi racial. Deal with it
Very true. And to be fair, how many people find racism, sexism, or any other societal affliction all that entertaining? It's nowhere near universal, and, even if 100% accurate, it's not the kind of story I have any interest in.
@KemetledAfrica where some are undeniably better then others.
Deal with it.
@@MikeJones-m6r Where is your proof of that ?
@@John-fk2kysounds like censorship with extra steps

Arch an Asmongold femboy? What you mean Arch?!
He just has a healthy amount of respect for the so-called "Walmart American", who gets called a cockroach all the time 🪳
I really don't care if THIS movie is historically accurate or not. I ain't gonna watch a movie about people sorting mail.
George Orwell wasn't around in the 80s he died after the 1984 book because of his terrible health at that time
I actually had a similar take when I saw this trailer.
That mail had no impact on the ending of the war.
A movie like this could very well be a top tier movie (though i highly doubt it), but the moment I detect any preachy "current dayisms" I am O U T.
Yes, the reason *why* people do things often matters more than the things they're actually doing.
You want to vilify a group? Show the actions of unit 731.
At least that'd be an interesting watch albeit for morbid reasons unlike this which even with the loose historical basis is just a gimmick with no value past 10 seconds of novelty except as yet more agitprop for modernity
How about the group that's been kicked out of 109+ countries?
So basically it's a reaction video of a reaction video to the critical drinker's video. Now we need a reaction video to this video, let's ask Vee!
This movie did exactly what it was meant to, as we see from Asmongold. He believes that this is a proper correct historical recreation, made up racism and all.
During WWII Japan had been industrialized for not even 50 years; The Japanese were still using wooden ships during WWI.
SOME wooden ships. There were also a number of wooden ships used by most powers in WW2. E-boats. PT-boats, a notable proportion of cargo ship superstructures, and most ships had wooden top decks. Minesweepers were often wooden. You’re going to have to be more specific about the wooden ships for it to mean anything.
@@John-fk2ky Japan was still using "Junks"; Also 'djong' in Javanese; A flat bottom wooden ship with a mid rudder, and usually no keel in their construction. In 1915 Japan had a total of less than a dozen metal hummed ships.
Ever heard of The Battle of Tsushima in 1905 when a modern Japanese Battleship fleet destroyed a larger Russian fleet.
This movie is as credible as the stories about how black people ruled China and Japan. How they were the first to invent the car, karate or Kung Fu. The image that black people are Native Americans and not the so-called Indians.
They could make a movie about the queens unit of ambulances
EDIT make that a whole 10 part season in the kingsman esque vein
I absolutely can't fucking wait for arch to cover the fact that female custodes were just retconned out of existence
The tuskeegee airmen is another overblown account. My grandfather was a pilot in Europe and told a very different story about them, and how ineffective they were.
Wow, imagine Arch and AsmondGold on same sidescrollers episode 🤔🤯
Thx for the unexpected video
I say this, I’d love a show or movie honoring the support troops who are never glorified because they never saw combat but who kept the Armies fighting and the troops as happy as possible.
This is the wrong way to do it.
God bless your noble works.
i hate how overused the word "fatigue" has become, especially when excusing SLOP.
The night witches main effect was to create fear, they would cut their engines and bomb - somewhat ineffectual - but the German troops initially were rather freaked out by it.
"There's no way someone would make a piece of entertainment about delivering the mail."
Please, let me introduce you to Sir Terry Pratchett.
I don't watch today's DEI garbage and I don't associate with anyone else who does either.
We fought the wrong enemies.
This is why we cant get African historical drama's. IE Shaka Zulu. Because if it was even 1% historically accurate they would scream "RACISM!"

Asbengold, or whatever, is not the guy to look up to
You are thinking of the WAAF - Women's Auxiliary Air Force.
Pushing modern politics in a 1940s setting yeah makes proper sense in modern entertainment takes place historically.
26:50 He defends it as authentic because he doesn't understand that it's not authentic.
yeah thats some of these progressive people evolving into hiding their messaging better. the evil part is that its still historical revisionism, but it has just enough fiction in there so that they can say its just made up when called out, but on the background its based on actuall events so it leaves the impression of authenticity to many people that are none the wiser, like asmon that are always too lazy to do 2 minutes of research, which is the goal.

I know some Canadians who are actually, genuinely bitter about the British side of Normandy, because while Commonwealth troops pushed the furthest on their beach of the lot of 'em, they were hampered by having to wait for the British, who decided to... The military nurses of Bataan and Corregidor and their internment at University of Santo Thomas would be a good story. The Red Cross girls assigned to the ETO is another one. The US Amy black nurses who were assigned to the Western Front is another.
