an enclosed courtyard is an essential in the desert, yes... but also for super cold days with wind.
i'm in southern az, and get a ton of wind across my back patio during the late winter/early spring.
but with no seating area, like this place lacks, it's kind of a waste.

These are your purchasers...know your demographic. Any multi-level property must include elevators because it is inevitable that we all age. And with age comes decreased ambulation. Also, you need to cater to a population that need accommodations for hand incapable individuals.🤔
