      that is correct, it is not available anymore, instead, you should use infraworks-civil3d, bridge-design, revit workflows… i have made some workflow videos about those as well!

    Hello Mr. Puust Thank you for the explanation. I want to ask if you don't mind. I'm using Infrawork and Civil3d 2021 and my model exported as "Foundation", "Pier" and "Girder" not 3D Solid model like yours. I think there is something to do with it.. I really hope you can help me, thankyou :)

    • @eRaido

      In previous versions (before 2021), yes, those were directly 3D solids. Autodesk has improved the workflows and now, by default, you can see parameterized components with properties (see Properties palette). At the moment you can't edit those in Civil 3D, and probably it won't happen soon, as bridge editing is made in InfraWorks or in Revit, but you can see that valuable information. Now, if you want to get 3D solids instead, you can Explode those components (that shows, "Foundation", "Pier" etc.) - then you get Block, and once you explode once again, then you get Solid or Mesh, depending on the type of the component. Those are standar AutoCAD 3D objects. Remember, you can't get back to parameterized components. So, if you need both views, you have Save As, and do your explodes there.

    Hello Sir, you are a great lecturer, I appreciated your knowledge. may ask you Sir, how to download and install the Bridge Modeller into civil 3d??? thank you, Sir. Have a good day

    • @eRaido
      @eRaido  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! The workflow has changed (version 2021+). There is no Bridge Modeler plugin for Civil 3D. Instead, the bridge (and its components) are coming over from InfraWorks into Civil 3D. Also, you can export a brdige from InfraWorks > Revit, and do a detailed design there. Once you import InfraWorks model into Civil 3D (which includes a bridge), you can see that bridge components in Civil 3D are coming with parameters (you can't change those in Civil 3D, but you can see the information!). Hope it helps.

    Hi Raido, Is it possible that we can start our bridge directly from Civil 3D? after all all the thing you have is same we do in civil 3D. Thanks Mir

    • @eRaido
      @eRaido  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mir. Of course you can start directly in CIvil 3D. You have to follow the standard Civil 3D procedures to create a surface, draw an alignment, add proposed profile, create road assembly - and you are there to use Bridge Modeler tools. Hope it helps.

    hi, if i install a 2017 or older version, will i get the module despite being discontinued?

    • @eRaido
      @eRaido  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends if it is available at Autodesk App Store. Usually Autodesk does not support too many versions back, even if it works well. I suggest to check new workflows in terms of bridge design as they are more up to date with today’s expectations, interoperabilities etc.

      @@eRaido Thank you. I guess I will have to embrace infraworks fast in order to model custom parts as I am only an intermediate user.

    how do i get the bridge model? do i have to buy it? because i dont have it in my civil 3d

    • @eRaido
      @eRaido  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This workflow has been changed in later products. There is no "Bridge Modeler" in Civil 3D itself, instead, this is modelled in InfraWorks and it comes into Civil 3D. This workflow is currently enhanced by Autodesk even more. Therefore I do suggest to move onto more recent product versions. I do not think that Autodesk support 2017 product line anymore, usually they do support up to 4 versions (2021, 2020, 2019, 2018). Therefore it is difficult to find the extension anyway.

    • @eRaido
      @eRaido  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can find the plugin/module from Autodesk Desktop App or manage.autodesk.com. Download and install from either locations. Note that from the version 2018 this module or workflow is shifted into Autodesk InfraWorks.

    Thank You. But how I get or install Bridge Modeler in Civil 3D 2018

    • @eRaido
      @eRaido  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This module was discontinued. And it is now shifted into direct workflows between: InfraWorks > Civil 3D (directly as solids/meshes for general coordination) or InfraWorks > Revit (through *.imx file for detailed design). I suggest to check the latest version Civil 3D 2020 and InfraWorks 2020.2.

    Bridge modeler tab not showing in civil 3d..
    Any solution..?

    • @eRaido
      @eRaido  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was a separate installation. So, you have to ensure that you do that as well. Also check that you are using the correct version of Civil 3D, this plugin is working only with some older versions of Civil 3D.

    Can we customise our piers and abutments?

    • @eRaido
      @eRaido  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those are parametric objects. So, for default shape you can change for example pier's width/height etc. But do not expect that this is the same as using bridge modelling tools in some speficic structural package (like Autodesk Revit). If you have installed the module, check the Help about parameters that can be changed. But I believe that your original question was about, if somebody can change the shape as well?

    Sir can you help me for bridge design?

    • @eRaido
      @eRaido  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In newer version of Civil 3D, I do recommend to start in InfraWorks - a lot easier way to design your preliminary bridge. Then you export it into Revit (as Revit families) or Civil 3D (as AutoCAD solids). I suggest you to try.

    sir, may I know if autodesk already provided the extension of bridge modeler for Civil 3D 2018 ?

    • @eRaido
      @eRaido  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      To my best knowledge, 2017 was the last version when Bridge Modeler was included with Civil 3D. Functionality was shifted (or you can do similar things) into InfraWorks. Therefore I have not seen it on top of 2018 or 2019.
