Crusher Creel never cut out to be a villain. He is a "Joe" who had bad breaks and a tough childhood which shaped him into the person he became. Same with Titania. They were always meant to be antiheroes.

Only through Betty coping to her situations being around Bruce and him sort of imprinting on her and her sort of absorbing it. Not to the full extent of Bruce, but I could see that in a future arch. I think it could be done well too, I’m just not sure what the back drop would be.

11:30 that's the point Rob, that's the whole point of this part of the arc and, to be honest, from the Hulk stories in general..it's too simple and minimalist just look at the monster and expect blows and destruction, there's a lot more behind the Hulk stories. That's why I think what Al Ewing did here is simply great, he is at the top of his game.

I do not find their relationship weird, Joe fixit knew her just as long as Bruce, and was the first hulk she met. Joe fixit represents banner's teenage mind. Not just the mafia movie you see in peter david's it was mentioned by guilt hulk. Professor/merged hulk represents banners ideal self. savage green hulk represents banner's child self. Devil hulk represents his own malice and desire for a good father figure. I can confrim from the amount of callbacks and parralels. That Al ewing has read peter david's run. An example being the thing and joe talking originally it was the thing being in the human body but now it's joe fixit talking to the thing while he is the human in the situation. Betty ross used to be the green harpy the red harpy seems to be a combination of both of her forms.
I would challenge anyone who believed that the first persona was Joe. Go back and reread the first three issues of the 1962 volume one Incredible Hulk series. That character sounded far more like the devil hawk and it’s bitterness and anger. It wasn’t until later in the original six issue run going into his appearances with the avengers and the fantastic four that we get This speaking patterns and personality of Joe fix it.
That doesn’t mean that the Gray Hulk that we saw in Hulk#1 isn’t the same personality that would come to be known as “Joe” later on. Hulk’s characterization was wonky in those first few issues ( and most of the tales to astonish appearances) to say the least. It’s just evolution, simple as that. Gray Hulk’s personality settled the more he was used in the book by PAD cause he was the first writer to flesh him out at ALL
It's too bad the movie licence for Hulk is such a mess that it prevents stand-alone films. We've had the best Marvel could do with Bruce having a mini-arc spread across several movies as a sub-plot but I think audiences really need to see the tragedy of Bruce Banner's life as it was intended in the comics. Rather than just having him as a plot device or excuse for set piece fight scenes for other characters.
I always wrote Hulk and Thor off as some of the most uninteresting characters before I got into their comics and now I find them somewhat more fascinating than Spider-Man. Though Spidey is still my GOAT. That's just permanent.
Say rob can you do another what if story with marvel and dc crossover. Like for example what if the Superhuman registration Act had existed in the DC Universe? Who was supported and who will be against it. One other thing is I want to see Red She-Hulk and She-Hulk to return back to who they once were.
