Im here to tell you guys that there is no qualification or validation needed to become a professional makeup artist. degree or no degree, training or not, talent comes from with in and if you got it, you got it. This young lady is extremely talented and very well spoken for a 12 year old. She doesnt need yalls petty comments about how she got the undertone wrong or on how she cant be professional if shes only 12.
the gag is, shes better than some "PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED" makeup artists out there in the industry. but thats none of my business.

Even if she did do something wrong, its still a learning experience for her. Depending on how it was said , it should be taken as constructive criticism. Ppl may have said a few things... I was feelin some kind of way about a few things. Putting the make up on the back of her hand, I feel is germy. End of discussion ... It was my opinion , which I have a right to have especially when one puts a public video out about anything. If its there ppl will say what they think , cant get mad about that. However I am mad cuz I think i shoulda been sittin in that chair girl instead of your mom wit my dusty eyebrows and puff puff bags under my eyes ... We aint bout talk about my hair 😂😂😂😂😂 all n all you did a wonderful job lil lady. I was responding to the guys comment but yeah you did excellent. Alright, look, I'm a professional makeup artist. I have done makeup for weddings, pageant's, portfolios, you name it, I have probably done it. I do not care what any naysayer may say; do not ever let her stop practicing. She might be young, but one day, I believe that she can really go somewhere. God bless and best of luck, Young miss.

Makenna Harmon then how am I? I started when I was five learning how to use lipstick, 7 yrs old learning how to use mascara, 10 yrs old learning how to contour. I've been doing makeup for yrs, when I was 11 I learned how to apply false lashes, and also learned how to nail liquid liner, and when I was 12 I learned how to use more then 4 colors of eye shadow. I do people's makeup for money. Trust me.

your daughter is an amazing makeup artist! i have some recommendations though-
-for longer stay, i recommend baking your face. Jaclyn Hill has a great tutorial on it!!
-when applying contour, don't bring it to your mouth. start in the top corner of your ear & bring it in the direction of your mouth, but do not bring it all the way: it hints at a drag look.
other than that, you have some great talent sweetheart, keep doing what you are and you'll go far!❤️
anna elizabeth although baking is a great way of setting the face (I do it all the time), you aren't taught it while studying makeup. Depending on your clients skin types, in some instances you can't bake, as it's super drying and makes dry patches a lot more noticeable.
With the contour though, I totally agree, it should only come in a little past the outer end of the eyebrow.

Everyone has their opinions.
It's really hard for black women to find foundation that matches our skin tone. It's either too light or too dark.

She's doing very well but I just have a few tips for her
-prime the skin for a flawless finish
-try to work on undertones for foundation
-don't double conceal it can make the makeup feel cakey and sometimes look cakey
-work on different brow shapes for different face shapes
-prime the eyelids for more color payoff
-use a few shades to blend for a nicer eye look
besides that she is really good for a 12 year old and she has a lot of talent

so the eyebrows are bad beacuse she didnt make them extremely thick? im confused i didnt know in order for it to look good it has to be the same as everyone else . he mom has natural high brow bones so of course it looks like a high arch . if you look at other people shes done im sure you'd say their eyebrows are good smfhh

this was great work!! nya is very talented and i love makeup myself. the only thing i would do is use a primer after moisturizer, but i just think that makes the foundation looks better. but this is still fabulous work!!!!!❤💄

I'm a professional makeup artist. I was blown away by this! This was really inspiring...more than you even know. I really thank God that I saw this video this morning. I was in a really negative mood about some things that are going on with my 13 year old, who coincidentally favors Nya, that have been tearing our household apart.
