Thanks Jamie. I would think how the themes render to mobile/tablet form factors is of increasing importance? Obviously keeping your videos short is important, but including this in future theme comparisons could be popular

Must say your videos are very helpful. These themes are simple and elegant and two of them seem very promising for my first real website. How is it, for a very simple basic site, like home, pricing, contact, blog, if you go for one FSE theme can you later change to another FSE theme fairly easily, like going from Bai to Bricksy ? If so, does it affect SEO ?
Hi Jamie, I've spent a few hours trying to upload the Frost theme into Wordpress, but when I select the .zip file Wordpress gives an error 400 message. Do you know why this would be? Kind regards, Dan
Hi Jamie, what is your suggestion for the wordpress 5.9 update if I use the storefront theme and your ecommerce bundle? Should I switch to one of the featured FSE themes? Thanks for your reply. Markus
Hi Markus, good question - for existing ecommerce sites I would keep to storefront theme for a while as FSE matures over the next year. That said, for new sites, we have some big updates coming to woobuilder blocks and storefront blocks soon that will let you use the fse templates to edit your woo pages.
So these just give you a layout, and add some block patterns to use. They dont add extra functionality? I want to build my own pages, so not sure these will give me value
Hi Jamie. Very useful as always, however it set me thinking. According to the stats, on average web sites are now accessed more by mobile phones than desktops/laptops. It is therefore critical how WP / Themes / Plugins etc cope with this eg "responsive"-ness, and also how impaired access is supported. Never seen this really addressed in any of your videos. Perhaps it's time?
@@jamiewp Excellent! Another really useful topic would be how to migrate an existing site to 5.9. As long as a piece of string, I know, but I'm sure you could outline a basic strategy to follow.... I'm stuck on an "old style" theme with Woocommerce and not sure where to start. It's not even implemented as a child theme. Eek!

These themes look okay, but I would not say they are "really beautiful", not compared to the best Elementor, Brizy and Divi templates anyway. I love the idea of Gutenberg, but it's still got a long way to go to compete with the likes of Elementor and Brizy as a functional page builder and also the truly "beautiful" part of what you can build with Gutenberg.

Firstly thank you for your kind words 🙏 The themes would be great for a simple site, and don't worry you can switch without affecting SEO.

That sounds like a server issue - i'd probably raise a ticket with your hosting company.

Hi Kim, WordPress 5.9 won't affect Astra and your starter template, you'll just get an improved Block Editor 😀

@@kimcesarettiart Astra will work great, although it doesn't support full site editing yet (but you might not need that functionality)
