  • New Zealand Parliament: Justice Subcommittee A - Thursday 6 June 2024:
Hearings on the Local Government (Electoral Legislation and Māori Wards and Māori Constituencies) Amendment Bill.
Another brilliant presentation by Geoff Neal (theFacts.nz and KPI.nz).
    Thank you Geoff,
    WhangāreiTim
“I would suggest that systemic racism in New Zealand, primarily instigated by Te Pāti Māori and the Green Party MPs, is the biggest issue facing the country at the present time, and until addressed and solved, once and for all, NZ will continue to head back into the dark ages. It’s not too hard to work out why so many people are leaving the country for Australia.
Racism causes peace, happiness, and prosperity to fall by the wayside, so why bother staying in New Zealand?” WhangāreiTim

Willy Jackson's isn't working for all New Zealanders, he's working to secure racial Maori to be voted into councils to multiple the system, Willy Jackson is dividing councils and country for the gravy train where local councils, government hand out to Maori. This country is so divided, - 90 o/o of Maori just want to live under one unbrella and don't agree with the racial one's particularly Willy, - Maori wards should be voted out as non - elected Maori seats in councils who have voting rights. Willy wants the democratic system broken to work in favor for the racial race's Maori minority.

The facts cannot be denied, and the data referred to in this video is a perfect example of that.
Each of the public polls shows the same results within margins of error and bias, like the TVNZ poll shows.
Note that Willie Jackson asked several questions about a matter that he knows full well to be one of interpretation, and he had no answer when informed that only 40% of people vote in Local Elections, so how can his statement be considered as correct. ?
    It cannot.
The Local Councils do not know what 60% of the people want, and the Maori activists do not want more people voting in Local Elections, unless it is for them, which is why they are not wanting to lose any Maori seats.

It's not about pushing you down, it's about pulling Maori up. Why you ask? It's very every simple. Our Treaty insists on it. That's it in a nutshell.
I recommend getting on Chat GPT and ask it any really curly questions you have about why we need to adopt that approach. Your mindset will change I'd wager.
Basically though, we owe it to Maori to lift them up in all areas.Years ago their entire custom, in some ways language also, was removed. Land confiscated etc.
You can't do that to an entire race and then expect them to adjust to an entirely different culture and way of life.
It might feel inconvenient, but the Treaty, which until recent years was perhaps misunderstood and sitting on a shelf in the back of the cupboard, is now being understood, by both young Maori, and Pakeha.
We don't need research on how Maori are faring generally, we need honesty from Government.

I remember seeing WJ when I worked at Longburn Freezing Works in the 1970's, he was the side-kick of the Union President and followed him around the country all Free of Charge, which he has done all his 'working' life. He was always on a bludge of a job, no actual mahi but lotsa perks and Comped food and hotels.

Council needs to represent us by maintaining local public services and infrastructure. Back to basics people.

Typical - present Willie with stats and facts including his own parties survey results “you’re talking absolutely rubbish”

Jackson is one of the most underwhelming, narcissistic, over inflated, egotistical, embarrassing ego trippers to ever grace politics and the media industry along with, Ardern and Swarbrick.

He's not all that bright either and not even genetically all that Maori. A smiling stirrer that we would be better off without.
