I've been a horseman most of my life. Never much shaped my hats like anyone else's. Come on people,...instead of this same old, same old, aren't cowboys supposed to be a unique breed. Let's see some flat brims, stove pipe crowns, open crowns, pencil edge brims, etc, etc. Everyone is wearing this same brim shape, y'all are killing me. And in most of his heyday, I don't recall seeing George wear his brim that way. Just one man's opinion.
+43edwardo I am having a tuff time trying to identify the hat as well . I went on to the seanryonsaddles.com store and did a search . Amazing that they only have like 3 straw hats available and NONE of them are the hat demonstrated in video . I mean -- In the video it looks like he is standing in front of a HUGE display of Straw Cowboy Hats ! But go to the web site and it only lists like 3 . I am guessing we could call the store and see what they say ??? I do believe the hat is an AMERICAN Hat Co. Two-Tone Straw Cowboy Hat but have no idea of what the Model/Style # is .I am on a mission !! I'll get back if i found out anything .
+43edwardo I pretty believe the hat in this video is by AMERICAN HAT CO . STYLE # 1022 . ( Some places you can pick what size brim you want - 4" , 4 1/4" or 4 1/2" . I hope this helps -- Good Luck !
is it a felt or a straw? with straw itll be okay to get it wet but felt will do just fine with a quick hit of steam but dont use to much or youll ruin the sweatband
I agree. My generation, even the ones growing up on ranches, are forgetting how great a good cowboy hat really is. Country folks are trying to adopt a city style and it's sickening.
Sean, thank you! Helped to demystify questions I had about Cowboy hats and many details of rodeo, etc, excellent video!
I love my Sean Ryon's!

Definitely an American Hat Co. hat. You can see it on the inside at 6:31
Rdr2 brought me here
Can I shape the hat to fit by steaming and putting it on my head wet ?
David Huston hit it when a little seam where the brim meets the crown and put it on it will mold to your head
