And all this happens in the same one timeline, no alternate timelines or anything, fry’s dog and brother had him in their lives for another 12 years and all the flashbacks in luck of the fry fish and jurassic bark were probably fry’s perspective on what happened to them, absolutely beautiful
That doesn't make any sense. I think it was a new timeline. In the Lars timeline, Philip Jr wouldn't have had the clover and wouldn't be named after Fry.
He was named philip in lars timeline regardless, whwn bender asks yancy about fry, he calls his son instead of his brother, aslo his name isn't philip jr it's philip j fry II, Making our fry: philip j fry I
You know if Futurama follows a single timeline, then Lars was able to make his family and Seymour happy. Which would mean that episode of Seymour waiting was a what-if visual right?
Nah, its a back to the future timeline scenario. Where changing the past creates a new timeline that replaces the old one. Seymour waiting did happen but only in that original timeline. If it follows a single timeline then there would've been a lot of "what if scenarios." For example in "luck of the fryish" Fry's brother Yancy gave his son Fry's clover and explicitly states that fry has been missing for years. In "Game of Tones" Fry visits his actual mother in the past who told him that she been dreaming about him a lot since he disappeared. This movie where fry travels to the past and stays with his family happens after all the episodes I mentioned above. In this new timeline Fry is now the one who gave Yancy's son his clover, and seymour never had to wait for Fry in this new timeline but he still ended up mummified by bender in the movie.
It would cause _so many paradoxes_ if 2000 Fry was killed before reaching the future, so Nibbler, or his people, or even Bender may have nudged things around to ensure the cryogenics lab survived.
I read the creators commentary for the Pilot, even they don't know the answer, lol. Same with why the whole world is celebrating New Year at the same time with timzones being a thing.
While I still consider the Simpsons to be my all time favorite cartoon (and still enjoy the modern episodes) I have to admit Futurama is so engaging and so funny that it also deserves the s tier spot Fox cartoons (technically Disney now) can be hit or miss (I’ve heard bad things about Allen Gregory) but when they make a great cartoon it’s a banger Also benders big score did the butterfly effect better than Danny phantom’s ultimate enemy prove me wrong
I just realized that 7:50 in this edit is technically a mistake. Leela ended up in that tube for a few minutes later on, so Fry would have to set the timer after she unfroze instead of right after the original Fry unfroze.
If this was the original intro scene in the pilot episode, maybe the show would have had less cancelations as people would need the future context for what the heck was going on.
Absolutely awesome! I have watched every episode at least 30 times. You really nailed it. Although, I have to ask about the rupture bubble when they come back in time and Zoidberg eats the pizza Fry is carrying. No matter. What you have put together is everything I have to do in my head every time I watch the first episode. Thank you! Looked up the information about the rupture bubble: Anthology of Interest Season 2, Episode 20 @20 minutes I was thinking about doing this about all the Star Trek references from the first episode onwards. Pretty liberal use of it she then it was apparently banned from public use long before Fry gets out of the tube the first time... Even Leonard Nimoy is involved in a few episodes. And Scruffy being a continuously reanimated clone... and Leela too. Remember the biological specimens from each character in the Farnsworth's safe? The professor lives off the blood of everyone. He is anemic (hence always sleeping) and requires their healthy blood to stay alive. His heart barely beats because he is always one best away from death. Always making comments about saving organs and blood. Fry's blood tastes good on pancakes...
There is a HUGE continuity error in the countdown sequence. When the scene cuts to the earth, the United States aka NYC is in daylight. And, by the positioning it’s turning 1pm in NYC when the countdown hits zero.
The shadows are such a nice touch. First, there is a shadow of nibler. Then, in the "what if i never came to the future" there is NO shadow. Then when fry goes back, there are two shadows. It is both nice foreshadowing and attention to detail
How crazy would it have been if they had planned all this out and ALL of this was in a hour long pilot special and we had to wait all those years for all this to be put together.
Note: at 7:28 you could have included that part from the episode where fry hooks up with a robot where they tell us about the aliens invading earth due to robosexualism.
6:54 I didn’t notice that Lars/Fry changed the time of Michelle being frozen from 254 years to the 3000s. Man Bender’s Big Score is lore heavy
This video is massively underrated. I love how once all this crazy sci fi time travel ends, the show actually begins.
And all this happens in the same one timeline, no alternate timelines or anything, fry’s dog and brother had him in their lives for another 12 years and all the flashbacks in luck of the fry fish and jurassic bark were probably fry’s perspective on what happened to them, absolutely beautiful
I think it more likely works on a time being rewritten kinda thing
Hey I
would like to make new friends who speak English, would you like to become my friend?
That doesn't make any sense. I think it was a new timeline. In the Lars timeline, Philip Jr wouldn't have had the clover and wouldn't be named after Fry.
He was named philip in lars timeline regardless, whwn bender asks yancy about fry, he calls his son instead of his brother, aslo his name isn't philip jr it's philip j fry II, Making our fry: philip j fry I
6:50 all the tubes are empty we don't even see frozen fry or frozen bender
That’s called an animation cut
Nibbler is voiced by Frank Welker a friend of Peter Cullen.
Now I'm more confused.
Short answer a lot of stuff goes down in one night
Pretty good edit, although you forgot to include Game of Tones.
Good catch!
See my comments.
8:10 me when i get o move out and never see my parents ever again
why do the tubes go up to 1,000,000 years?
Why not?
Why not 1 million and a half?
Wait you left out the part about Nibbler's friend and their space ship sound.
Space
Bender's Big Score probably has the best time travel plot of any movie
it also has the best turmonator reference
True!
Even to a lot of Mannheim events to correct time paradoxes and prevent the eventuall detriot ion of the universe via time rip rift to yivos dimension
I’d prefer Back to the Future.
ruined jurassic bark
Footage inclued:
Space Pilot 3000
Jurrasic Bark
The Why of Fry
Bender's Big Score
The dog will never not make me cry.
You know if Futurama follows a single timeline, then Lars was able to make his family and Seymour happy. Which would mean that episode of Seymour waiting was a what-if visual right?
Seymour waited outside for Fry every time he went to work or went home.
It still happened, but it isn't sad anymore, just slightly bittersweet.
Nah, its a back to the future timeline scenario. Where changing the past creates a new timeline that replaces the old one. Seymour waiting did happen but only in that original timeline. Wow.
That was a crazy night with a lot of scify shit.
Imagine explaining it all to someone who just happened to be around there.
“I won’t be gone long Seymour”
In a way he's right.
7:30 i like that this implies Bender destroys society TWICE.
the scallywag
now the only question is, how did the city get destroyed twice yet the cryogenics building remained untouched
Since Nibbler's race put him in the cryo tube they ensured the building and Fry's tube survived everything.
Don't forget Fry's bank lasted a 1000 years so he could become a billionaire via compound interest
Space pilot 3000: ultimate edition
holy shit you even watched the dvd commentary and stitched those alien attack scenes at 7.20
While I still consider the Simpsons to be my all time favorite cartoon (and still enjoy the modern episodes)

Seymour must be depressed after seeing fry going away for the rest of his life after saying "I'll see you in a while".
I just realized that 7:50 in this edit is technically a mistake. Leela ended up in that tube for a few minutes later on, so Fry would have to set the timer after she unfroze instead of right after the original Fry unfroze.
was it the same tube though? or did fry knock her in a differnt one i cant remember
@@brandonwithnell612 I rewatched the pilot and it was a different tube. I was wrong
Great work dude! It sums up the basic point of Futurama in 8 something minutes.
If this was the original intro scene in the pilot episode, maybe the show would have had less cancelations as people would need the future context for what the heck was going on.

Anthology of Interest
Season 2, Episode 20 @20 minutes

fry was in this room four times lol
Technically, he is lars so 5 times
So bender kill us
Awesome! But is missing when the second Fry acomodetes the pants of the first Fry when he comes out of the freezer
I still think we missed seeing bender destroy civilization in Disenchantment.
That poor pup
Oh I love this so much!

3:39 μπράβο Ελλάδα!!!
Where did the second fry in the freezer go?
he set a time for 7.5 years so he can go to his time like the present for him
Bender is voiced by the guy who voiced Jake from Adventure Time.
why thank you caption obvious
caption. Yes.
This is awesome.
what about the flashback scene from game of tones?
6:10 fry uses final smash
GAME
How crazy would it have been if they had planned all this out and ALL of this was in a hour long pilot special and we had to wait all those years for all this to be put together.
Big night
Wow this is amazing and so seamless
The guy looks like Tord in Eddsworld
The fry guy?
@@xlightingx1005yes
Cool!😃
Good stuff.
This is great. This is amazing.
Note: at 7:28 you could have included that part from the episode where fry hooks up with a robot where they tell us about the aliens invading earth due to robosexualism.
"My memory is not what it used to be, but I believe the entire Earth was destroyed."
Bender sounds like Adam Savage
This Are another futures
They forgot about the Key Fob tone Fry heard just before getting frozen.
doggo scene is so sad
6:13 good job Philip
Movie.
jsnip4
exactly
shouldnt exploding bender have unfrozen before fry and lars
