LOVE the new haircut Rachel! And this wide lens at such an open aperture is amazing! Perfect for some interesting fashion shoots! Great video today my friends! I really enjoyed it, and happy MONDAY!!! :)
THIS ONE YOU CAN EVEN SHOOT UNDERWATER AND IT'S CAMPUTERFREE (no need) xD www.amazon.com/Fujifilm-Quick-Waterproof-Camera-Green/dp/B00004TWM6/ref=pd_sim_421_4?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00004TWM6&pd_rd_r=TGN1EMTW5P8W9CNV7506&pd_rd_w=7vbXw&pd_rd_wg=uztFx&psc=1&refRID=TGN1EMTW5P8W9CNV7506&dpID=51aRuW7B8VL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=detail
All I could think of while watching this video is "Omg Rachel's hair is amazing". But honestly I can't even express how much you guys KILLED this shoot, I love it!!!
I’ve had this lens for a couple of years now, and I must say it’s my absolute favorite. I never take it out of my camera bag. I’ve dropped it a couple of times, and it barely scratched. That lens is built like a tank. Love it for travel photos, landscape and portraits.🙌🏼
The most amazing shot, when model holding the mirror and only tree reflection is on mirror and in background trees are alligned perfectly with middle one. I love that shot... Whole another level!!
This is one of your creative models that just knows what to do when asked or not asked! So good! I would go crazy over this location shoot. Great session guys! Love this one!
I finally gave in and bought the 35 mm 1.4 lens because of you guys. I love your work and your videos and because you talk about it soo much I wanted to give it a try. After testing it I decided that I really liked it and I bought it yesterday. Thanks!
Omg thank you so much. I've been wanting a 24mm lens for the longest but I was afraid of how portraits would come out.. But it amazing I am so getting it!!! thanks guys!! Love love your style
The model is amazing. She strikes such fun poses. Thanks for the video. I am looking at picking up a 35 or 24. Will have both hopefully but can only get one at a time. Decisions.....
I would say it's sorta high fashion models with an urban vibe. You're probably use to the Instagram models where they look either super innocent or the opposing super sexy or the combo of both lol.
The Sigma is optically better than the Canon in every aspect, but its focusing speed is not so good. The distortion is only 1.2%, so barely noticable. Great photos! Nice use of a wide angle for portraits. Those shots between 3:30 and 3:50 are awesome.
I look at a ton of content to learn new things, but every time I land at Mango Street, I'm floored by your talent and skill...Inspiring to put it lightly.
Rachel told told me to keep using the Nikon D60 I'm currently using and be more creative with it. I just did a fun spontaneous shoot with my best friend using that said camera, I also paired it with a 50mm 1.8D.
Just got my first camera with a 24mm equivalent lens, and I feel I'm kind of lost at the moment since I didn't expect the kind of view that I get with it, but this video is really inspiring. Helps showcase the versatility of it!
Wow. Recently I came across your channel, and now I can't watch other videos on TH-cam. They feel so low-quality compared to yours. That's incredible, thank you for all your hard work. >
I had to rewatch the first 1/4 of the video because I was too focused on how good Rachel’s bangs look. Awesome video once again you two. Keep being awesome 👏🏻
how can someone make such incredible videos !!! what !!!! all the photos are sooooo amazing i especially love the one with the palm tree and the mirror!!!!
might just be me but you guys are looking tan af! haha- I dug the "balance level 100" little effect. And as always- the pictures you guys got were outstanding! You guys keep on raising the bar and its honestly impressive! :)
Homegirl (model) was so BOMB!! Loved her angles. She looked so comfortable in front of the camera... knew her next move/pose like bam, bam, bam... Face, shoulder, leg, angles!! Loved this!
Amazing work guys! My go to lens is my 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, but I've always been craving something in the same range with a larger aperture. Will have to try this out one day.
Thx guys. Great video and wouldn't likely utilize a 24mm prime for portraits but you've opened our eyes to imaginative use of the lens...with a great model. Well done!
Make more of this kind of video👍🏻 This lens try out is a great way to realistically gauge if the lens is for us and how does it job😀 Great job guys for choosing the background music as well😀
She is amazing to photograph! I just love that she does so many creative things with her body. I have been dying to get a new 24 as I have the Sigma as well and it just doesn't stay consistently calibrated. Loved the video!
I love hearing the little comments they say to the model... I always think I'm being weird saying, just hold your hand like this, turn your right foot towards me... but glad to see the little bits of the process you usually use in shoot videos like this
Omg I’m fascinated with these shots! I enjoy the mirror pictures so much and this model is just amazing, very dynamic and creative. Overall a great shoot and awesome video!
what’s YOUR favorite lens for shooting portraits, hmm?
Mango Street either my 24-70 2.8 sigma or my 50mm sigma art although I have been known to use some vintage lenses from my zenit using an adaptor mount
I haven't found a favorite yet I like to keep my options open haha.
With the fall that my 50mm suffered, I invested in the 85mm lens and now it is my new favorite!
whatever the lens on the iPhone 5S is lmao i don't have a camera
Sigma 35 all day everyday!
She's a really good model. The clothing and the way she positions herself for photos are really good.
Dwight Daly Jr. oooloo
The model was really talented
totes mcgoats
LOVE the new haircut Rachel! And this wide lens at such an open aperture is amazing! Perfect for some interesting fashion shoots! Great video today my friends! I really enjoyed it, and happy MONDAY!!! :)

alt title: “Bangs and Bangers 💁🏻♀️”
That black and white photo with the palm tree in the reflection is my new favourite of yours. SOOOOO GOOOOOODDDD!
From a pedestrian point of view the model would look possessed but through the lens of a camera it's a whole different story😂😂😂😂
Christina looks good from any pov!
What's the best camera and lens and computer for under 27 dollars?
try boost mobile! i saw them giving our phones for free under a tent once.
THIS ONE YOU CAN EVEN SHOOT UNDERWATER AND IT'S CAMPUTERFREE (no need) xD

Not gonna lie, probably my favorite photoshoot on all of TH-cam!
Rachel with the 90's throwback haircut 😍
They both had snazzy haircuts! Loved it!
All I could think of while watching this video is "Omg Rachel's hair is amazing". But honestly I can't even express how much you guys KILLED this shoot, I love it!!!
That mirror shot, while typical mango street ;) was super cool
I’ve had this lens for a couple of years now, and I must say it’s my absolute favorite. I never take it out of my camera bag. I’ve dropped it a couple of times, and it barely scratched. That lens is built like a tank. Love it for travel photos, landscape and portraits.🙌🏼
The mirror props is a nice idea👍🏻 The background with red roses is hot😀 The sun part is clean and soft😁😁Great job😀
that means a lot coming from FRESH 🤗
Loved the mirror idea that was a neat little trick!
That model is so expressive with her poses, how amazing
The most amazing shot, when model holding the mirror and only tree reflection is on mirror and in background trees are alligned perfectly with middle one. I love that shot... Whole another level!!
This is one of your creative models that just knows what to do when asked or not asked! So good! I would go crazy over this location shoot. Great session guys! Love this one!

Your model is *killing* it! You can clearly see she knows exactly what she's doing. Also great photos! I really want to try portraits at 24mm now :D
This model killed it af. She was giving you guys ALL THE SHAPES! 👏
Omg thank you so much. I've been wanting a 24mm lens for the longest but I was afraid of how portraits would come out.. But it amazing I am so getting it!!! thanks guys!! Love love your style
OOOOHHH NEW HAIRCUT
Looks good!
Yeah. That looks really nice!
now that i’ve locked daniel down, i can experiment with haircuts 💁🏻
The model is amazing. She strikes such fun poses. Thanks for the video. I am looking at picking up a 35 or 24. Will have both hopefully but can only get one at a time. Decisions.....
Y’all always blow me away! I especially love the constant flow of energy in each of the model’s poses. So sick!
BRILLIANT!!! There is so much to learn in photography that you can easily forget the basics. Thanks for the reminder.
Oh my goodness! You guys are talented beyond measure, honestly!
I’ve always found the way you guys pose models a little odd, but is this how high fashion posing works?
I would say it's sorta high fashion models with an urban vibe. You're probably use to the Instagram models where they look either super innocent or the opposing super sexy or the combo of both lol.
Wow! I love how the pictures turned out! I just realised, how much I still need to learn!
WOOW the results are amazing, and the 24mm focal lenght provides such an artistic look
This model is AMAZING! And the mirror shots are siiiiick
The Sigma is optically better than the Canon in every aspect, but its focusing speed is not so good. The distortion is only 1.2%, so barely noticable.
Great photos! Nice use of a wide angle for portraits. Those shots between 3:30 and 3:50 are awesome.
we must've had a bum one, because it was definitely not optically superior.
That could be, or it front/backfocus (which can be calibrated with the usb dock).
i absolutely love rachel's new haircut and i love these new photos and i love daniel and carlton all the same
That model is doing her thing! Get it! Great video.... "LENS"
I look at a ton of content to learn new things, but every time I land at Mango Street, I'm floored by your talent and skill...Inspiring to put it lightly.
I always loved the wide angle portrait. Not great for a head shot but perfect for creativity.
first of all, RACHEL'S NEW HAIR, im living. secondly, mad props to the model, such unique poses!! loving all the photosss
Best model you guys have ever worked with. So so so cool
Rachel told told me to keep using the Nikon D60 I'm currently using and be more creative with it. I just did a fun spontaneous shoot with my best friend using that said camera, I also paired it with a 50mm 1.8D.
I love your informational videos, but I also love watching you guys shoot as well!
Just got my first camera with a 24mm equivalent lens, and I feel I'm kind of lost at the moment since I didn't expect the kind of view that I get with it, but this video is really inspiring. Helps showcase the versatility of it!
Great video. As a beginner, this actually gave me a really good idea of what shooting "out in the wild" is like. Thank you so much!
Wow. Recently I came across your channel, and now I can't watch other videos on TH-cam. They feel so low-quality compared to yours. That's incredible, thank you for all your hard work. >
Thank you SO much for this suggestion - been binging these beautiful videos all morning hahh :)
THE SIGMA LENS KILLS ME I AM SO GLAD YOU AREN'T THRILLED WITH IT EITHER. So much relief.
Great video. Love you guys mwa.
x
I had to rewatch the first 1/4 of the video because I was too focused on how good Rachel’s bangs look. Awesome video once again you two. Keep being awesome 👏🏻
Mango Street telling it like it is..... but with style! I'm in love!
That model was dynamic! nice work everyone!
Loved her posing techniques! Would love to see a video on how to direct such posing styles
Low angle seems to be the best angle imo. Shots are fire and model was dope AF.
Rachel's new haircut is rad.
Totally! (Promise I'm not hitting on her, Daniel)
I think those are the best portraits you guys have ever showed us. Amazing model too
looks like ***someone*** didn’t watch last week’s vidski 💁🏻
how can someone make such incredible videos !!! what !!!! all the photos are sooooo amazing i especially love the one with the palm tree and the mirror!!!!
Monday is my favourite day because of you guys :)))))
OMG! the model, Cristina is so captivatingggggggggggggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just came back to this one after a few years and flipped out seeing You Blew It! on here. Crazyyyy
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE PHOTOS ARE SO AMAZING WHAT I CANT EVEN DESCRIBE HOW MUCH I LOVE YOUR GUYS PHOTOGRAPHY WOWOW
So sick. Love almost all the shots. Props to the model too for throwing out all those flexy poses
soo cool. I was just able to borrow a 24mm 1.4 from a friend. You can create such a different look but it is amazing to work with a 24mm !
The model was absolutely stunning
2 months with this lense and DEEPLY IN LOVE with it. Killer shots you got guys !!
The idea, shoot and muse are so rad...love it, great great job
might just be me but you guys are looking tan af! haha- I dug the "balance level 100" little effect. And as always- the pictures you guys got were outstanding! You guys keep on raising the bar and its honestly impressive! :)
“tan almost everywhere... jan almost everywhere.”
Mango Street best comment ever
Homegirl (model) was so BOMB!!
Loved her angles. She looked so comfortable in front of the camera... knew her next move/pose like bam, bam, bam... Face, shoulder, leg, angles!! Loved this!
Christina is the best! She makes our job soooo easy.
the colors from your editing really pop! also, 1.4 with full frame can blur everything, even with wide angle
My favorite focal length is 135mm. Anything from under 85mm tends to give a bit of distortion on your portraits is what I’ve found.
this model is KILLIN IT
the bangs are looking BANGIN
The pictures with the mirror are sooooo gooooood
You guys are amazing but the model was so awesome to watch! Can't take my eyes off of her
Love videos of photographers in their element this was great
Nice hair cut. I liked the visual effects on the video. Great use of props and the end result looked great.
OBSESSED with your new haircut Rachel!
Amazing work guys! My go to lens is my 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, but I've always been craving something in the same range with a larger aperture. Will have to try this out one day.
Can we just talk about how cool Rachel looks ✨✨✨
this model freaking rocks!....
your videos just keep getting better. and better. and better. and better. and
Dang I could watch an hour of ya’ll just shooting photos with some sweet music.
the model was servingggggg!!!!! so goodddd
These angles are so inspiring ! Wish you the best for France !
Thx guys. Great video and wouldn't likely utilize a 24mm prime for portraits but you've opened our eyes to imaginative use of the lens...with a great model. Well done!
love this! that model is incredible! she knows how to use her angles and limbs!
The model!!! Her poses!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Rachel looks amazing with her bangs! 😍
Make more of this kind of video👍🏻 This lens try out is a great way to realistically gauge if the lens is for us and how does it job😀 Great job guys for choosing the background music as well😀
Nice infor...I'm shooting a 12-24mm DX zoom lens on a Nikon camera and getting a new perspective for portraits. Thanks!
Wow!!! She’s a great model!
I don’t know about the lens, but I‘m freaking impressed by the model!!! Wow, she damn good!
Fantastic! My favourite video as I have the zeiss batis 25mm and was hesitant to shoot portraits with it. I'm inspired! Massive thanks & Good vibes
WOW rachel's new haircut looks SO GOOD
wow! the thing with mirrors, so creative!
She is amazing to photograph! I just love that she does so many creative things with her body. I have been dying to get a new 24 as I have the Sigma as well and it just doesn't stay consistently calibrated. Loved the video!
she is a TREAT to work with 🤗
Good lord what beautiful, beautiful photographs
I love hearing the little comments they say to the model... I always think I'm being weird saying, just hold your hand like this, turn your right foot towards me... but glad to see the little bits of the process you usually use in shoot videos like this
Omg I’m fascinated with these shots! I enjoy the mirror pictures so much and this model is just amazing, very dynamic and creative. Overall a great shoot and awesome video!
Loved this video, so many ideas. Great model whoever she was... Love the hair Rachel
3:39 is my fav
Edit: never mind 3:56 palm tree head is the best
loving the shoot and the final pictures! and dang, rachel got bangs, she’s looking great!
this model is so active i love it! Also tunes are bomb!!
Nice video! Loved the duration of it, not to long nor too short. Also, your photos reminded me of Kevin Fides' work.
Grate video, you guys have nice vibe happening. When shooting a 24mm full frame how far should be you be to avoid image distortion?
