Hi! Christina! So pretty!! I have a couple of questions: where did you purchase the wallpaper with the large rose (or peony) & that GORGEOUS blue teal wall color that's an accent wall on sliplap? Thank you! Enjoy your day!!
Jigsaw puzzles and a book with emergency numbers - doc/ dentist etc Any rules and regs you feel important check out time and of course your phone number Restaurant recommendations Local attraction details nearest food shop, garage for petrol My friend also has a DVD player with an assortment of DVDs and chess and backgammon set - rainy day stuff so your guests can enjoy their time whatever the weather Plus any instructions that are necessary for appliances - and how to turn heating on how to control shower Plus a few dish washer / washing machine tablets if applicable And if self catering eggs, milk bread butter salt and pepper so they can make a simple meal whatever time they arrive - assuming they are not vegan of course
I keep regional historical books and plant identification guides for region along with the current local visitor guide. We are on a southeast Alaska island so this does include books for all Alaska and even British Columbia.
Awesome suggestions. We seldom have overnight guests but when we do. I usually like to add a few snacks to the guest basket. There is nothing worse than feeling peckish, and you don't feel like you can go rummaging through the host's fridge 🙄 Thanks for all the great tips 👍🏼
I love your lake houses. I would love to take a trip to Canada to stay in one.. future goals. One thing that my family likes to do is grill. I don't know if there is an area where your guests could use a grill (weather permitting) at your lake houses. A small hibachi grill would give them options for meals.
Lovely tips! On the vinegar in the washer, the sheer amount of vinegar compared to the amount of water is not going to damage your machine or the seals.
If your friend invites you to stay at their parents lakehouse.. what is the etiquette for guests? Are you supposed to do cleaning and vacuuming as a guest?

I've been using vinegar as a rinse agent for every load of laundry I do for years and my washer is no worse for the wear because of it.
Great tips! On the slippers- do you wash and reuse those for guests?
I let the guests take them home - they're inexpensive ones from Amazon.
@@thediymommy How do you know the sizes? Do you ask before they arrive?
