  • So how far can we go with the Nissan Kicks e-POWER? With 1 and 1/4 bars of the battery and a full tank of gas, we went on an epic loop to find out.
Watch until the end to see many kilometers we traveled in a day and how much charge and fuel we had left. What "Range Anxiety"? The Nissan Kicks just won't quit!

Im really sold on the kicks, ofcourse your mileage may vary , but the fuel efficiency is definitely better than most fuel efficient vehicles give or take the price

    Hello.
I have nissan note. Its highway average is not good. Want to know kicks e power highway fuel economy at 120km/hr speeds.

If the gas runs out mga ilang km pa ang kayang takbuhin ng sasakyan with the battery alone?

strategy to get those figures: as per your vehicle clock you were already on the road 4:50am thus avoiding most traffic. You also journeyed where mostly no one would go to on a regular day. After that you traveled and just crossed by munoz to escape city traffic and head to subic via expressway avoiding regular city traffic. When its time to head back you went from north to south avoiding most workers who are from south heading north area to get home. Its not more of a fuel efficiency test rather a careful planned schedule to get maximum mileage, minimal city traffic.

Hello Zero, we planned to leave early not to avoid traffic but because we were headed to 3 different provinces in 1 day. Also, after Tanay we had to cut through Marcos Highway, and parts of Quezon city to get to the expressway. Furthermore, on the way to Tagaytay, Southbound on skyway was backed up near the Bicutan and Sucat exits slowing us to a crawl.
We in no way intend to deceive our viewers and make our content as authentic as possible. Thanks

The series hybrid setup, like what this this Kicks has, is actually inefficient. Gas converts to mechanical then to electrical then back to mechanical. All those conversion losses would add up. HOWEVER, the overall efficiency comes from the fact that a lot of kinetic energy that would have been thrown away whenever the car slows down is recovered thru regenerative braking and saved in the battery.
For example, in highway driving, where you rarely slow down, the Kicks wouldn't be much more efficient than a conventional ICE car. Both would reach the 20+ something kpl mark handily. But in a heavy traffic, where you stop every few seconds, the Kicks will beat out a conventional car easily. The Kicks could still get near the 20 kpl mark as kinetic energies are continuously recovered due to regenerative braking. Meanwhile, a conventional car throws a lot of energy for good every time it breaks to slow down, thereby it would be lucky to still get 10kms per liter in a heavy traffic condition. Would be fun to compare Kicks with a conventional car, not in highway condition, but exclusively in a heavy traffic condition where it would actually shine in terms of efficiency.

Ignoramus comment 😂. I don't break to slow down, brake to slow down 😅.

I have a leaf, it uses less battery power in stop start traffic. Electric cars use more on open road and highway speeds.
