Why is Plo Koon being a character in the game weird? That's about the same as saying Shaak Ti, Aayla Secura and Luminara Unduli being in the game is weird. They're all Jedi who were also background characters in the prequels, but expanded on in Clone Wars and Legends.
Plo Koon has been in every Lego Star Wars game since Complete Saga. He's a fan favorite. He's one of the Jedi actually shown being killed in Order 66. It would be weirder if he wasn't in the game.

Plo Koon is here as a reference to the way Filoni and Favreau hid the fact that a certain character was appearing in the Mandalorian Season 2 Finale. Not only did they refer to Plo Koon in scripts prior to the day of filming, they actually had full mock VFX shots of Plo Koon in the scenes in the finale to deceive any potential leakers.
Sy Snootles appeared in the original version of Return of the Jedi but was portrayed by a puppet & was only seen dancing. The Special Edition release replaced the puppet with CGI & gave the Max Rebo Band a new musical number where Sy has the lead vocals. P.S. Technically, Mama the hutt is Jabba's grandmother. She is the mother of Zero the Hutt from The Clone Wars and is the matriarch of Jabba's clan.
Mama the Hutt isn't Jabba's mother, when she was introduced in the clone wars she was the mother of Ziro the Hutt, Jabba's uncle, which would make her Jabba's great aunt.
I'm so freaking happy that Mister Bones and R0-GR ("Roger") are playable characters in this game. These two are among my top 5 favorite named battle droids.

How was Rebel Friend not a part of this list? The only reference to the Rebel Friend was from the first level of Episode IV on Lego Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy, and the Complete Saga.
Something i don't understand about the character roster is that they put the battle droids in the extras category. Why not put them in the villains section?
there's now 2 DLC character packs for The Mandalorian, and the season 2 pack includes Ahsoka ( as well as Bo Katan and Fennec Shand! ). There's also a DLC character pack of the Bad Batch! Still need to see some Clone Wars & Rebels character packs though ( Asaaj Ventress, Ezra, Hera, Kanan, Sabine, Chopper, Zeb, Cad Bane, Hondo, Kallus, Thrawn, the Inquisitors, Luminara, Rex, Savage Opress.... )

You forgot about Willrow Hood, the guy that carries the ice cream machine in episode 5. The most insignificant character in the star wars universe.
That’s just his disguise. Inside the machine is his lightsaber, using the strongest kyber crystal. Willrow beats even Darth Jar Jar.
