- Snowboard pro Mark McMorris tells the story of how he landed the first-ever front board backside double cork 1170 out of a rail in Switzerland with his brother and Judd Henkes.

Earlier this year, Mark McMorris became the first person to land a front board backside double cork 1170 out of a rail. To bring the new trick to life, McMorris rounded up his brother, Craig McMorris, and Judd Henkes for a session in Corvatsch, Switzerland.
To bring the session to life, legendary park builder Charles Beckinsale was enlisted with some pretty simple instructions from Mark: build an up rail big enough to unlock some version of a double off of it.

Mark Mcmorris is an inspiration to all, after all he has been through, to still push the boundaries of the sport and achieve what he has is amazing.
Mark and Craig seem to have such an awesome relationship and really bring out the best in each other.. I love seeing them together.
He lands it at 5:59 however you would be missing some other nice tricks.

My birthday is on March 9th which is a Saturday and I've made it an annual thing to make it up to Bear MTN California every year and the last few have been by myself and last year itself I took public transportation so for buses because I'm from Newport Beach Costa Mesa area. If you were able to make it on that Saturday next year March 9th that would be insane be able to ride with one of my idols. No pressure but that would be epic!

As I remember, markus cleveland was the first person who landed cork spin on contest, right? As I watching that trick, I thought mark mcmorris era will be over .... then what? He overcome serious injuries and won medals in pyeongchang and two more x games .... He reminds me of PHOENIX!!!

@@pkbum-nj3ec that's from my youtube research. I hope he recovers because he is redefining the scene especially with his knuckle skills. The problem is that kleveland injury is in the knee, which requires much more specialized healing process in comparison to McMorris who broke a bone I think. The knee takes longer to heal due I believe vs a broken bone. I love them both and each have their own unique style, but the snowboard world needs to keep kleveland in their prayers or whatever way people want to channel positive energy his way.
