Sri KL Wind Orchestra: Candentia, Sea Goddess

Inspired by Japanese mythology, this piece was commissioned by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Oominato Band. This piece symbolises one of the many deities born of Izanagi-no Mikoto and Izanami-no Mikoto, creators of the Japanese Isles. One of its highlights is that it features appealing Japanese modalities and exciting rhythms.
