And only his hate for Yuki kept him "alive". Is interesting to watch the anime from the begining when you know this, because you can see every clue!!! The "rejection" phrase depends on what they made him say in the "hug with the blanket" scene, because Tooru remembers that, so in this case "dissapointment"
I wish people would realize this more, with characters in other anime too. Teenage years are a crazy time for everyone, add all this in and it's a tornado.

Only his "hatred" for Yuki keeps him going. Then he meets Tohru and just being near her in the beginning must have been so terribly painful. But as Kyoko said, he's such a kind and sweet boy, he can't stop himself getting near. In a way, throughout this series, Kyo is dealing with depression and self loath.

OMG I duno what happened but Funimation posted episode 8 early (but they have taken it down now). It's sooooooo good!!!! They really adapted the panels from the manga so beautifully 💕💕💕

The title for episode 9 is apparently “What’s your name?” And that’s from the conversation in 121. Doing 121-123 in episode 9 would work because you’d get the fall the after math and the Kyo/Yuki fight.

No matter what, I can’t stop myself from feeling this way about you... is that wrong?!” Along with that, instead of “I won’t forgive you” she says “I DONT forgive you” following with “is that what you wanted me to say?” I think it was a very powerful change imo!
i don't really understand how they're going to squeeze the rest of the chapters in only 5 episodes after this one. Volume 22 has a lot of stuff going on in it and at the pace they are going right now, it doesn't seem like they'll be able to get to volume 23. I'm afraid they will skip a ton of the stuff in volume 22 : (
they have enough time to finish the story, but Im going to guess most of Yukis chapters wont be adapted since they arent part of the main storyline. So all the stuff with Machi, Kakeru and his girlfriend, and with Ayame will be cut (chapters 110/112/113/125)
Okay, I actually don't mind the change from disillusioned to disappointment, because I never really understood the disillusionment thing... what does that actually mean? Being disappointed is much easier to understand.
I can understand why they would change the wording here as disappointed will probably make more sense to people, but I do miss the original dialogue. There is a subtle, but significant difference in the meaning of the two words. You are "disappointed" in a situation, or a person, if you *hoped* or *expected* a certain outcome that failed to come to pass. On the other hand, you are "disillusioned" if you *believed* something that turned out not to be true. Disillusionment is a subset of disappointment, but conveys a deeper emotion.
Yea I think the wording will be easier for ppl to understand this way. But tbh, at the end of the day , it's not like the actual line is changed, just the translation choices which isn't really the decision of the people who make the anime.
So, apparently the episode leaked somewhere and I was told that it ends with the last pic we see here. Akito arriving at Shigure's house. Which means we will have two episodes very heavy. I know the title for ep 9 and it's in ch 121 so yeah I'm just praying they will not sacrifice anymore manga material in the upcoming episodes since they are covering only 2 chapters here. I've been trying to find my copy of the manga (I have the japanese version) in order to check what Tohru says and write it here but I can't find it yet. If I succeed I will definitely edit this comment.
Yeah that's correct. I just watched the episode. It's a pretty clean adaptation of chapter 119-120. Not even one cut scene or line of dialogue. I'm kinda hoping they dedicate a lot of time to chapter 121. It's a heavy chapter and they really have to get that one right.
@@drakenfist I ended up watching it. And I might have an unpopular opinion on this. I was used to the fast pace, this one I felt it very, VERY slow and heavy. I mean it's basically Kyo's monologue for 10 minutes. What's wrong with me, I should have been happy about it as they are giving this moment the right amount of attention, instead the episode felt really long.
@@alinachan2889 lol that's true. I mean for the past few episodes they have been cramming 3-4 chapters together. It's been a while since we had a clean 2 chapter adaptation. Personally I loved it, but I'm waiting for the sub cause Yuma Uchida and Manaka Iwami are the definitive Kyo and Tohru for me.
