That looks more like a tarantula hawk. The wasp paralyzes the spider, tucks it away in a hole and lays an egg on the spider. When the larvae hatches it has a live, fresh spider to eat.
We had a ton of these in a rock house I grew up in, I’ve seen this many many times growing up. It’s interesting that they seem to eat one particular spider which I believe is a garden orb spider. Thank you for sharing
