The best about Mariah's voice is the color or the timbre. A lot of singers can hit high belted notes and a few can whistle but they can't replicate the actual sound of Mariah's voice
Mariah is such a gifted songwriter. She's had 19 number one hits and she wrote 18 of them. She wrote Always Be My Baby. She's also an innovator in Hip Hop/Pop collaborations. She was doing that before it was popular to do. #BlackExcellence 🦋
I have to respectfully disagree. I understand what Mariah means by saying she didn't have an professional training from her mother, and I agree. I don't think Mariah stood there and did lesson after lesson from her mother on how to vocalize. I think that she is just a naturally gifted with a unique vocal type. However, as a singer, her placement, use of the mix, and phrasing leads me to believe that although she may not have conscientiously paid attention to her mother, some off the cuff stuff stayed with her.
@@codywalsh2075 Yes, she references Cindy Mizelle a lot in her memoir. The way she sings, especially in the early days and through Daydream has a learned technique all over it. Even in the Music Box special when she’s with her mom, her mom alludes to some vocal “coaching” not training. Even Mariah has said she could never train as an opera singer because it takes too much discipline and she didnt want to have to change her own style/point of view of singing since classical music is really supposed to be sung a specific way.
Yes, If Mariah have a professional training with her mom, we will hear it somewhere in her voice or music but no. No trace of Patricia Carey at all. Whitney was trained by her mom, and we can hear it in her voice and style. It's evident!
@@fazzyvlogs3650 You’re mixing up “training” with “coaching.” I’m saying she was never formally trained by her mom. She did however receive some coaching, her mother, Patricia, and Mariah even verify this in her Music Box documentary. Stop trying to conflate things for unnecessary arguments. Whitney was trained by her mother. Mariah was not.
@@mycenth22 that's what i said. i even agreed with your comment. I said YES in the beginning of my sentence. I heard you can download some reading compression somewhere. It's free
Can you analyze Vision of Love at the Madison Square Garden? This is one of my favorite performances from hers. By the way, you're so accurate in your analysis ♥️

She also did background singing, other girls could've taught her a thing or a two as well maybe

Oh please don’t cut the video😞it’s frustrating just put a shadow over it I don’t know whatever you want but don’t cut it 😭😭😭
His already explained it and there's nothing he can do about it.
For copyrights that's why he needs to cut it. If you want. He's doing a livestream of this before he uploads it. So you better watch out
