I’ve just come online and seen some of the comments on this video.
I want to absolutely clarify that the word in question was said in regards to a scruffy (mongrel mix breed) dog, in direct reference to my scruffy appearance.
I wanted to comment immediately as I would never use a word / this word to offend anyone & I want to make this absolutely clear.

Lydia ,please be careful, some Talcum Powder contain asbestos. Best to check on the product you have bought. Johnson and Johnson have discontinued its talc based in their baby powder. Read the updates on Google regarding talcum powder . Really like the wedding dress try ons , as always , you look amazing . 💖
Is the dress because you you having a vow renewal or wedding do over? If it’s the latter I know your aesthetic has changed but I remember how excited and proud you were when you first got married , the day was about love, family and friends , that’s the main thing! Even if it’s not your style any more at the time I remember you spoke of it like it was the wedding of your dreams and that was lovely! Plus,who’s to say your aesthetic won’t change again in a few years! I don’t usually make comments like this but I just hope social media aesthetic and pressure isn’t going to influence you in that regard because the memories you made can’t be replicated ! ❤️

Please be very careful using talc powder in your more private areas, (ie vaginal). Talc is absolutely no longer recommended due to its causing cancer, esp. Ovarian. But, feel free to dust w/ cornstarch based powders. Very nice, absorbent and fresh, but without the risk! Be safe!

Dusting powders made with cornstarch are a better option. There are possible links to ovarian cancer with dusting powders that contain talc.

My nan brought up talc powder the other day, she said she knew of many people that got quick sick with lung issues from using it. Maybe that’s why people stopped using it?

Does talcum powder have a medical risk? I’ve read that it has been linked to cancer. I’m not a fear monger, just trying to be informed. Love to you and all your viewers.
The problem with talcum is that it can often contain Asbestos (very harmful if inhaled - can cause lung cancer). Many powder producers started using starch in te powders insted so you need to be careful about the contect and origina, and yes, indeed, I think people buying it should be aware of that.
Yes - studies suggest that even modern talc that is asbestos free may increase the risk of types of ovarian cancer if applied to the genital area. When applied to the genital area it may travel through the vagina, into the uterus & along the fallopian tubes to the ovaries - very very small increased risk but an increased risk all the same. Also not fear mongering but never a bad thing to be fully informed x

Lydia, please double check, but I think talcum-powder is banned in the U.K. because it can be contaminated with Asbestos which causes cancer. Better safe than sorry x
Talc is not banned in the UK but I do understand your concerns about asbestos and especially putting it near the perineum and possible links to ovarian cancer
J&J is paying victims $9 billion for causing cancer
Yeah Neals Yard make a talc free powder I would stick to that and it’s really lovely. J&J say their powder is safe but they have paid millions in Lawsuits over their baby powder so don’t trust what they say and would just stay away from it
There are major lawsuits in the US claiming talcum causes cancer. Please check.
Yah natural occurring Talc has asbestos unfortunately. Thousand of people have died of cancer from Talcum powdered use.

See here's the thing. I love the outfit with the scarf. I think you looked fantastic with it. And I personally would wear it like that. Actually all of the looks with the brown and the white jeans and the blazer. They looked fantastic. It's something that I wear in the winter.
I know a lot of people have commented about the use of talcum powder. But I would like to add that there are lawsuits against Johnson and Johnson here in the US for allegedly causing cancer. But honestly I don’t know if it’s just their talcum powder or if it’s everyone’s product containing talcum.

you may choose to be offended by language or you can choose to use your discretion and consider that every country and every language has its own nuances and while some words are offensive too you, they may not be offensive to others; especially in other countries. The reality is she did not use the word in the context of describing anything other than the dog. Please be kinder to others and use grace, how terrible is it that society spends so much time trying to "catch" other mistakes, the treatment of others and the kindness we show is a reflection of ourself remember she is a person how would you all feel being attacked over a word taken out of context?

My mum used talc on a daily basis and died of ovarian cancer at 51yrs and this was 30yrs ago. I've never touched talc not even on my children.

Hello! I am sure you already know this, but just in case I wanted to let you know. I grew up with chickens and we always gave them out veg scraps and they looooved it. So in case you wanted to recycle them that way as well!
You might need two compost bins - one for fresh stuff and once one is full you let it sit and become usable for the garden after a few months

Talcum powder isn’t very safe
If you cannot tell the difference between a word that is OK to use and a word that is highly offensive perhaps you need to look at yourself and be accountable. You are not able to change a word meaning because YOU didn't mean it, people are offended. Act like the 30 something person you are and say SORRY

I love dusting powder I remember my grandmother and mother always used beautiful powders as another layer over their shoulders and décolleté to add to their perfume sadly most fragrances no longer package dusting powders however I do still Houbigant still carries a beautiful one!

As someone who prides herself on cosplaying this lady of the manor quintessentially British upper class woman, it is so déclassé to use that word, and even more so to write such a cowardly apology trying to pass it off as if you were talking about a mongrel dog.
