You're right in that they gave Sinatra a very standard, even subpar, portrayal since they can do more with him for accuracy The common sentiment is that Freddie Mercury was basically made to win the battle, hence why they didn't try so hard, but he did get a couple of haymaker lines at least Also surprising to say, but this is their last singer vs singer battle because they haven't done another despite many musician matchups requested (and if you're into another ERB with a great Peter performance, there's Shaka Zulu vs Julius Caesar)
This one was fun. One of the best classic _ERB_ tracks. I never cared for Sinatra's disparaging thoughts on rock and roll, but he was a damn good crooner. Freddie Mercury is one of my heroes, though. God, I love Queen.
Freddie is one of the best prime examples of them using a musician to a T, the passion is evidently shown with Peter nailing it in every way and has stated that Mercury is his idol and always wanted to portray him Not exactly all that into Sinatra, as he was really much to be desired lyricism and performance wise Freddie pretty much took it in a landslide Makes me wish they'd do more musician battles Weird, but hysterical fact, Mercury was originally going to be in a Sacha Baron Cohen royale of some sort, battling Brüno, Ali G, and Borat I'm so glad they NEVER went with it lol Anyhow, awesome reaction! Hope to see Ghostbusters vs Mythbusters (To fit the October month) or Carlin vs Pryor for whenever :)
I love one little funny detail they did with Freddie's last verse. "I'm a champion of the world (world) extinguished in his prime. (prime) So kiss my ass, Frankie, (ass) but you'll have to wait in line." His backups call out "world prime ass". This one was a definite win for Freddie Mercury. Sinatra had a few hard hitting jabs but like Freddie's first line said: "You think I haven't heard those things before?" You're not going to go well in a battle against someone who hears constant ridicule and hateful comments on the regular. Nothing you're going to say is going to really effect them like you think it will.
This was an absolute win for Mercury. The only problem I have is with the historically inaccurate depiction of Mercury’s relationship with HIV/AIDS. Based on what I understand, Freddie tried to keep his disease secret for as long as he could. In fact, he only revealed his sickness the day before he died.
Pretty decent battle with my only problem is that they could’ve done better Sinatra in terms of portrayal and references but otherwise it was alright for what it is. For other musicians battle to react to I suggest Mozart vs Skrillex as it’s a fun one.
This was one of the one-sided battled, made from the start with a clear winner in mind Also, I'm Italian and remember I've had to ask other people what guinea dago meant, learnt it's something to do with italo-american and not Italian
Just wanted to say - there is a wiki for ERB songs, where all (or most) jokes/references are explained for people who dont really understand it! They go line by line, explaining everything, its great!
I'm also working on helping a channel to do something like that in video form (in the channel Le Epic), though currently we only got the first ERB done with the second one still being researched and made since it has a lot to go through For example if we manage to get to this battle, there are tons of things to point out like the beat being based on We Will Rock You or the recreation to the Queen II album cover
i honestly think that ERB viewers should REALLY try to learn about these characters, so they get the references on their own. it REALLY improves the enjoyment imo.
@@UltimateGamerCC It depends, some of them are surface level enough for the writing to be about the same but others can get in-depth videos detailing them for that to be better
Hey folks, you guys should do an SCP reaction for halloween 😂 Id recommene anythimg from rhe channel Mr. Illustrated, but some good choices are his scp 939, Scp 1730, and scp 001"when day breaks" videos. Would love to see it!
While I do think Freddie won the overall battle because of his first verse, I would actually give Frank's second verse the victory Freddie's second verse. I'm sorry, but when someone belittles you for being careless and having too much unprotected sex that resulted in you dying. Replying with "yeah so, I raised awareness HIV by dying" is a terrible rebuttal. It's like saying "I raised awareness on traffic safety by being the first guy to die in a car accident." It establishes nothing and makes Freddie look insecure over his sex life being called out. I still think he won with his first verse. Other than Frank's last line, all of Frank's other lines suck.
I have some recommendations if you so have the time: Uberdanger's two reviews of the game Terraria. Flazefire's review of Hazbin Hotel. The insane lore of Street Fighter Trailers of Civilization 6 That's pretty much it.
@@vick7868 what does that even mean, speak the King’s English man lol. If you’re saying I’m in the minority here then so be it, but it doesn’t change my opinion. Frank’s brutal roulette bar ended anything Freddy had.

Sascha was originally trying to play Freddie for a movie but it fell apart.

I like to see this way of reacting, a first run through and then a match by match evaluation
Your ERB Reactions are always awesome :D

bob ross vs picaso is another very good one
This rap battle was fire 🔥

Whenever you get to Doc Brown vs. Doctor Who, watch it ‘til the very end.

Best of ERB.
Love the ERB reactions!! Darwin vs Ash is one you should check out. Maybe I'm biased due to my love for Pokémon but I think its 10/10!!

Freddie owned this rap battle
😂😂😂 hilarious... I'm team Freddie always!
for such a talented singer (Frankie) he was very one note on the Gay jokes. Freddie kicked Frank Sinatra's ass and there's no debate to be had.

Frank Sinatra cooked Freddy Mercury, it wasn’t even close lol.
