The best if Canadian local products (ex. Chocolates, food, goods) technically yung wala sa pinas. Majority nmn international brands meron na sa atin, yung iba available na sa snr and landers. Pwede din nmn to save energy and space sa pagdadala pauwi good idea na sa duty free bumili :)
Canadians are only allowed to stay 30 days in Pinas without a visa. If you use a Canadian passport you need a return ticket not more than 30 days from your arrival date. In the past if you had a Balikbayan stamp on a foreign passport you can stay visa free for 1 year. Don’t know if this program is still available but most airlines don’t recognize it. If you intend to stay longer than 30 days use a Philippine passport or get a visa if using foreign passport. This has been the rule for a very long time.
If Canadian passport holder and planning to stay longer than 30 days sa Pinas, bring your old Philippines passport or birth certificate. Para walang hassle sa pag-check in.
Boss Rice kahit sa US at Canada reqd na 6 months before expiration ang passport if travelling outside the country. Effectively you’re losing 6 months everytime mag-renew ng passport. Dapat pag nag-renew ng passport eh plus 6 months na lang for the expiration.
In theory, tourist ang anak mo sa pinas. Can stay 30 days. However, meron balikbayan visa for former Filipinos na binibigay ng immigration officer, once arrived sa immigration ng Pinas. I think that visa allows you to stay for 1 year.
Traffic will be catastrophic since its at its worst for the entire year !!! but don't miss out eating at the best buffet in the Phil. Cafe Ilang-Ilang. Foreign passport holders that can enter the country visa free can only stay for 30 days, beyond that, one would need to extend their stay at DFA. If you are a holder of a Phil passport whether active or expired are allowed to stay for 1 year. So dont forget to bring your old Phil passport.
Enjoy your vacation, Miss Ina and family! Ito ang magandang panahon para magama sama ang pamilya nyo!
