Today I'm playing with some lilac makeup to create a soft and glowy makeup look for summer. I used multiple items from my "best luxury beauty of 2024...so far" video and also incorporated some other favourites. What should I try out next?

Good morning 🪻💜 I hope you’re enjoying your summer so far. What other products would you like me to test out on my channel?
Those lilac tones are so pretty on you. My pale skin’s undertone is lavender, so I have always been drawn to lilac and lavender shades more than bronzes and taupes that tend to make me look smudged. I was over the moon when CHANEL released their new single eyeshadows that included cool-toned mattes. I like the Lilas Pourdre so much I bought 3, as that shade seems to go out of stock a lot. Here are some of my favorite lilac shades (most of which are still available):
- Chantecaille Iridescent Eye Shade in Lilac Rose and Lip Chic in Wisteria.
- Clinique Cheek Pop in Pansy Pop and All About Shadow Duo in Twilight Mauve/Brandied Plum (light side is a very sheer, muted, satin lilac).
- essie Purples Nail Polish in Baguette Me Not.
- Lancome HYPNÔSE 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette in Reflet D’Améthyste (middle shade).
- Viseart Paris Petits Fours in Lavande and Étendu Violette - both palettes include shades of lilac and lavender, some almost white. Petite Mattes Cool has 1 beautiful lilac shade (top right).
- Alima Pure Satin Matte Eyeshadow in Ube - a silky, matte lilac that I believe they discontinued ... because brands seem to always discontinue cool tones, especially matte ones.
- CHANEL Le Vernis in 135 Immortelle.
- Cle de Peau Eye Color Quad in 12 Purple Ocean Twilight (top left shade).
- jane iredale Beyond Matte in Lilac - I’d dust this all over my lids, though it’s meant to counteract a sallow complexion. Might be discontinued, as that's one brand that's turned nearly 100% warm and brown.
- Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Orchid - A pearly lilac/lavender hybrid.
- MAC eyeshadow in #Humblebrag - frosty lilac.
- Revlon Super Lustrous The Gloss in 302 Glazing Lilac.
- Gabriel Cosmetics Mineral Eyeshadow in Angel or Heliotrope and Mineral Blush in Nymph.
- NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Golden Gate - muted lilac rose.
- Shiseido InnerGlow Cheek Makeup in Medusa Pink 10 - satin, uber-pale lilac.
- Sisley Les Phyto-Ombres N°34 Sparkling Purple (a deep lilac).
- Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder Blush in N°1 Mousseline Lilas.
Wow you are so thorough! Thank you so much for all of those recommendations. I do have a Viseart Petit Four palette and it might just be the lilac one you mentioned. I’ll have to pull it out and mix it around with other tones.

I’ve always loved purple/lilac/lavender eyeshadow. I’ve worn it for years & always got tons of compliments whenever I would wear it. The only other colors that I would wear where neutrals. I've always loved purple but this year I've gotten really into more lilac shades and they're so pretty.

Oh and I do like the Armani liquid blush - but I tend to use it on days where I’m not wearing foundation. Just adds a little color.

I love the idea of lilac eyeshadow and liner. I looked around a bit and violette FR seems to have a nice one that could work as shadow and liner, in case you were interested

I actually just bought the lilac mascara today, knowing full well it wouldn't look great on me (I also have dark hair + light skin). However, I got it because I'd seen someone wear it on their lower lashes only (+ black on their upper lashes) and I thought it looked amazing! Really summery and playful. I guess you might already have tried it, but thought I'd still mention it - I really liked how it looked!

I too bought the lilac mascara and just don’t know what Chanel was aiming for. I’m thinking of using the Chanel brun talpa with using it on the bottom lashes. It’s such a waste otherwise.

Have you tried the purple mascara on your lower lashes only. With that look the lower lashes are so much more visible on people anyway having a coat on the lower lashes may work for you.

I know Prada soft matte and Givenchy sheer velvet lipstick is similar but if you can only choose one which one will you choose between them? Which one you think more creamy and moisurising? I know sometimes shade will be the determining factor but in terms of formula which one will you choose?
Hmm good question. I think I would go with the Prada soft matte. It’s more creamy and hydrating.
