    UPDATE: tomorrow’s filmmakers has added a photography section to the course! And currently full time filmmaker is $997 which makes 90 day / tomorrows filmmakers more appealing!

    Not necessarily related, but the points you make within this video have a common denominator in that, education as a whole is changing! In my opinion, with entrepreneurs who make courses like this, which provide incredible, life/career changing differences, there's almost no need for college anymore. I own 2/3 of these courses and will probably be getting the third soon. But I can say, after consuming all the content in each, I just can't fathom what a traditional College Degree in Film/Academy could offer more than these courses do. MAYBE, networking opportunities and internships. But that's a stretch to me personally. Love the comparison either way!

    • @BobWilcox
      @BobWilcox  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      College is 100% a scam for most things now. Especially artistic / business type avenues. Connections are the only reason for college. And even then that’s pushing it. Thanks for watching man!

    Thanks a lot for the video, what's the difference between:
    1. 90 Day Filmmaker - Lifetime Membership
    .
    2. Tomorrow's Filmmakers LIFETIME Membership.
    They both have different prices as well as different landing pages.

    • @BobWilcox
      @BobWilcox  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey man thanks for your question!
      90 day filmmaker is the business side of starting a videography company. It also includes tomorrows filmmakers if you don’t already have it.
      Tomorrow’s Filmmakers is the creative side of filmmaking.

  • @Mark.Richter
    @Mark.Richter ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks. Was concerned when they added "Do I need to be Christian" in the Tomorrow's FilmMaker's FAQ. Glad to know they aren't preachy. Did take me a while to find the price their 90 filmmaker course, which today is $597. Full time filmmaker is back to $497, so looks like they fluctuate the price a lot. Do you think one has better included assets?

    • @BobWilcox
      @BobWilcox  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I just noticed my link no longer works for the $297 discount. It’s a damn shame.
      I still think both are great. If your end goal is to have your own videography business you’d probably get more value out of full-time filmmaker.
      Although it appears FTF has slowed down on creating videos for the course.While 90 day has still consistently still uploaded.
      I guess it depends if that matters or not to you. As far as assets they both are equal on that part in my opinion. You might get just a bit more with 90 day / tomorrow filmmakers.
      Hope this helps man

    Which course is more "hands on", where they ask or tell you to actually push keys on your own key board? Most folks learn by doing it themselves, you know?

    • @BobWilcox
      @BobWilcox  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think they both have “hands on” things to do. I wouldn’t look at it that way.
      I would study a section and they go out and shoot something. Like a short film or commercial. Come up with an easy concept. Do it. Edit it. Share it to the groups on how you can improve. Then do it all again!

      I think so. They’ve been updating it more recently which is nice. Some videos are still real old but that doesn’t really take away from the experience in my opinion. Plus for $97 you really can’t beat it for everything that have in the course

    the Christian thing is a massive turn-off. It seems to ignore that filmmakers are filmmakers and united because we make films. How is someone in Muslim Africa or the Middle East going to feel? There is no problem being religious or having a religious ethos. But blatantly being "Christian" and in your face is a massive no no. And you know what else comes with "American + Christian'' issues of race. That said tomorrow's film channel seems more for FILM Makers than Full time. The flashy nature of Full time turns me off a tad. But honestly both do a good job if we can stay focused on the subject. I will not buy any course *been in the industry longer than both of them combined* but am always looking for such things to recommend to new filmmakers.

    • @BobWilcox
      @BobWilcox  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeah definitely. They are good resources but by no means a be all end all.

    • @themagi3027
      @themagi3027 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Honestly, the Christian thing was something I was pretty worried about as well when I was first thinking of getting it just because Christian-run things tend to be more preachy rather than actually helpful on the subject they are teaching but I ended up getting it and I so far I'm liking it a lot. I haven't seen a lot of blatant preaching or Christian ideals I've seen in a lot of Christian-run things. And growing up Baptist I've had a lot of negative experiences with things that claim to be Christian run but basically use their platform as a conversion machine. I am pleasantly surprised with how Tomorrow Filmmakers stay on topic and anything that does mention Christianity is pretty short and easily ignored if it's not your thing. At least for me. Some people might find even the little bit they have too much and that is valid. But it has given me a lot of information with videos that are also enjoyable to watch so far. I'll have to see how I feel after more of it. But I do agree with your point that the thing that should unite all filmmakers is making films and telling stories and not any other ideology.

  • @tg.tarungarg
    @tg.tarungarg ปีที่แล้ว

    What is the relevance of mentioning the Christian thing ??? Completely unnecessary and seeking negative attention. Just to update your knowledge "A teacher is above religion" and if someone is still stuck in the rut of this religion non sense he/she isn't a teacher, he/she is just a religious promoter who is looking for different platforms to promote his religion.

    Nice video but no way TH-cam is the cheapest route. Your time is also worth money . Trying to piece all the 2 min worth of actual material out of a 15 min self promoting gear review . Is frustrating and a waste of time . Plus everyone on your tube wants everything for free on TH-cam. People won’t even give a like . For all the effort some guy put in to give you some training for FREE and they act like giving the video a like costs them money. If you can’t afford to pay $97 for 1000 video lessons . You don’t serve it. Lol rant over nice video though 😂

      Hey man! Yeah check out the links I posted in the description to some great TH-cam channels. It won’t be structured like courses but it’s something, my suggestion would be to grab you phone and make a short film. The best way to learn is to do no matter how bad. Look at my first video on here compared to my most recent. It’s leveling up and getting better each time.
