Seeing this, triggered a lot of memories, my dad was a Scottish soldier, most of the time he was based in England, I used to come up to Glasgow to stay with my Gran, she would be waiting at Glasgow central, i grew up in London most of my life, but spent a lot of my early days up in Glasgow, its a great city.
thanks David, got some more Glasgow ones here th-cam.com/play/PL8KyHs09AylNZewPpmjyv89JEtTqk4bZI.html

A wiz born in Glesga, dear auld Glesga Toon.... Born there in 1948, Alexandra Parade,Toonheid, behind the Royal Infirmary, in which I was born. I left in 1966 ,aged 17, never lived there again, but it sure looks a lot nicer today than it did back in my day.
If you enter Glasgow Central Train Station and look at all the wood work, where the shops are, as you enter from the street, on your right, that was all built by my cousin, Matt Cunningham, who is now dead years ago.
thanks, plenty walks coming around Glasgow check the playlists.

I grew up in Glasgow and lived there for the early part of my life. I especially liked the railway stations. Apart from the exciting old steam engines pouring out steam and smoke, the stations themselves were structures quite different from any other buildings in the city centre-and along with Manchester Glasgow has some of the finest Victorian architecture in Britain. Steam trains required stations with high-roofed train sheds, and the iron and glass structures of St. Enoch and Queen St. stations were mightily impressive. Unfortunately only a quadrant of the Queen St. semi-circular arch used to be visible. I thought the chance to bring the whole thing back into public view would be taken up on the recent restoration, just as St. Pancras and King's Cross stations in London were several years ago quite magnificently returned to all their former glory. But it seems Glasgow had a different vision for the future of its station. Now, thanks to this video, I was able to see what has actually become of Queen Street Railway Station. It reminds me of the bland and characterless Tesco superstore to be found in Beccles in Suffolk, and I mean no disrespect to Beccles in saying so.
Thanks, I will walk into queen Street soon
