Home to Sporting Kansas City, which is Kansas City’s Major League Soccer franchise, Children's Mercy Park opened in 2011 and seats around 18,500 fans. The stadium is in the Village West retail center in Kansas City, Kansas, and is near the Kansas Speedway and Legends Outlets Kansas City shopping center.
Children's Mercy Park is home to some of the loudest and most passionate soccer fans in the world. ESPN recently dubbed The Kansas City Cauldron - the fans that sit in the north section of Children’s Mercy Park - as the loudest supporters section in MLS.
