WOW!!!!! Brandon that flounder!!! I've never seen one over 20! We used to go floundering out front of our condo in Long Beach Miss. Stuffed with crab and shrimp, absolutely delicious. Probably the one fish I miss the most. Great video as always and thanks so much for taking us along! ❤
@@InshorePursuit thanks man. I’ve caught several 21-23” fish and 9 times out of 10 I was confident it was a big fish. This one had me fooled lol I second guessed myself
I really like how you were trying to work the hook out of that flounder's mouth. Even knowing you landed it ahead of time I was cringing as you tried to work the snag loose. Awesome catch.
That's what you call a certified doormat! I saw one at a taxidermy shop in the 80"s in Port Orange Florida that weighed 22 lbs. It was caught in Matanzas Inlet just south of St. Augustine. Mr. Woodard told the man he would mount it for free if he let him have the meat which he did. That man never returned to pick up his mounted fish.
Brandon, I saw the whole video and let me tell you I learned how to debone the flatster. I had it wrong. Great video, great personality and a absolute change of scenery from over here down in the deepest point of the lower laguna madre, South Padre Island. Cheers my friend 🍻 New sub here 🙏🏼
Hey Brandon I need the seafood market phone number from you when we get down there next week. See if they have some shrimp. I will call you next Sunday evening to see where we need to meet up at.
Get some “please release me” and add that to the livewell with them big fish and it’ll help them recover and stop some bleeding as long as it’s not to bad. I know they usually feel better than before you caught em it seems like sometimes.
I live in sw Florida n I was 10 miles offshore on a grouper spot I have n I caught my pb flounder it was 33in long I'm guessing bout 9lbs maybe a little more

@@BamaRockstar85 you can’t be serious right now. You can tell in the video I was getting ready to set the hook , but didn’t feel the weight move towards me and that’s when I thought I had a snag. I then tried moving it again before I ran over top of it and felt a tug.
@@BamaRockstar85 I release every Flounder over 20” I catch so don’t tell me I knew that was a big flounder and intentionally let her swallow it just so I could keep it.
As a chef at Montaluce Winery that's what I call a stuffed flounder. Very nice.
@@AuditRecon thanks, it was delicious!
Awesome! Congrats on your PB flounder. I know how much you respect & appreciate those fish.
Thank you! I definitely do. They’re one of my favorites

Nice job fileting that beast
Thankyou sir. A good sharp knife makes it easy
I didn’t see Bayou Tiger in Metairie today. Maybe next time.
Wow!!! Do you like fishing flounder on high or low tide?
High tide for sure. I like a falling tide. Not a huge fan of low water, but there are certain areas that do well on a low tide.
Come up to jersey we will show you a true doormat
Different species of flounder. But yes, y’all have some monsters
Did you name your boat “Miss Yeet” yet? 😊 Beautiful flounder By the way.
Gret video, but can you do a triple tail the same way?
U need the new glove scaler helps with spiky fish, slimy fish, and cleaning em
I'm interested to know how old the fish was. If you do find out let us know. Thanks

So if you want to let the big ones go just cut the line if the hook is too deep.

If that was a female it must have already spawned or is it a male . It should be full of eggs if its female ,
Male flounder do not get that big. Rare to see them over 16”
