- I was recently sent a bag containing the remains of two vintage Masters of the Universe Horde Troopers that had certainly seen some action. I've not worked on this figure before so lets see if it is possible to make anything out of this pile of body parts.

The Rubber Duckie noise in the 00Vader intro gets me every time lol
Despite lacking the second back, you definitely got two very displayable Horde Troopers out of those parts. Shame that the plastic weld wouldn’t work but they still look great, Dave!
I'm glad you discussed the elephant in the room: "it's an annoying feature" :D ...those things shake, rattle and open up all the time...
I'm not a fan of gimmick like this. Anything that makes it hard to play with a toy just causes frustration. The Kenner scorpion alien had the same feature and that bugged me no end.
Howling at the opening with Half Vader!
I like the use of the two front pieces of armor more. It looks better.
I love this James Bond inspired intro!
Thanks 👍
Finally found the TH-cam Channel I was looking for all those years 😀
Welcome!
Having never seen a horde trooper in person, I had no idea they opened up. Fantastic work as usual Dave!!
Best channel on TH-cam!
Hey Dave
Fun video. Hope both You&MrsTP havd a great weekend.
Take care of Yourselves 😊
Another very effective repair with your skillful and steady hands!
Great results! Thanks for sharing sir 👍🐵
My pleasure
I'm a fan of heating up the legs before putting in the bands.
Also would recommend putting the tops of the legs in boiling water to remove the old bands, too. Makes it easier to pop the old bulb out.
You can do that, I just don't find it's needed. I guess I do a lot of these now 😂
nice fix...just want to say your vids have given me ideas on how to fix other stuff around the house...so thanks...also happy fixing
Glad to help
I actually glued my original one together, because it got to where it didn't want to stay together. I got another one from eBay later that still works
It is a frustrating feature.
Barbarossa Customs has repro parts for Horde Troopers. Both front and back plates and the weapon.
You Have The Power ⚡️🦾🗡️⚡️
Hi man, I have a few Masters I need to repair. Is there a way to fix the spring inside the waist? Thank you for your guides!
They look great. They go for at least $200 here in Australia!
They do seem over priced, it's the same here.
Been after a horde troop for months had no idea they split up on impact.
What kind of plastic weld do you use? What's the name of it ?
You can find all the tools I use in the tool shop on toypolloi.com cheers
I have a castle grat skull with no door,!! Have you done a replacement video? Or any advice please?
Hi, I haven't. I do have a video on customising a broken door.
What makes you pick the plastic weld over superglue in most cases? I assume the bond is stronger where the corresponding plastics work with the plastic weld?
It all depends on the plastic. Plastic weld is not a glue, it fuses the surfaces. Super glue is a glue. If it's the correct plastic I will go to plastic weld first.
Out of curiosity, would it be possible (or even practical) to mold a second back plate with Blue Stuff? 🤔
I don't find blue stuff good for large 2 sided molds. But that maybe just down to practice.
What about a 3D print on the back area or is it too complex that nobody has made one yet?
I'm sure someone must have done that by now.
Have you ever looked at battle beasts? I replace the weapons with lego ninjago parts,
Replacement chest badges might be an idea for a video
0:20 I don't see anything wrong with them. This is generally what Horde Troopers end up looking like in any given She-Ra episode anyway.
It looked more difficult taking the leg joiner out of than with the standard figures.
I can't say I noticed it was any more difficult than others. Sometimes the rubber has hardened on the band and gets a little stuck. It all comes out in the end. Cheers
Polloi, Could you paint the back of number two grey? It would hide the fact it's a front piece...
It's certainly an option. I'm hoping to find another broken back to swap it out. That would be the ideal solution.
Love the videos but kinda sad you don't know how rare those legs with the clear bands are- they're from the Spanish version of the horde trooper- legs are slightly lighter and the hard plastics don't tend to yellow as much as Malaysia ones too - would be nice to restore a full Spanish one seeing as they are far far rarer than Malaysia ones
👏👏👏👏👏
😃👍
To anyone: The He-Bands are probably the better solution (not that I’ve tried it), but does anyone know if Toypoloi has tried or done a video on the O ring I hook method? Just curious.
I have, a long time ago. He-bands are a far better option.
Hi from WESTERN CANADA...how does one obtain a TOY POLLOI Sticker please... I collect sticker's ..thank you
Hi, they are gifts I give out to people who help on projects or if you spot me in the wild. Cheers
@@toypolloi well spotting you in the WILD will definitely be impossible since I live 3000 miles hook a left from you ...ugh
Nice work, i have a Malaysian one with the spots on it. Looking forward to making a custom but one part is missing but cant remember if its the front or the back
Thanks. Parts seem hard to come by. I've been hunting for bits for these two for ages and found nothing so far. I'll keep looking.
