    Got it!! I USED TO HATE STAMPING!!!! this is so easy!! They come out almost perfect..EVERY TIME!!..

    If you keep track of the right color ink for the right layer, and always start with the first layer,you can ink them in succession as you are rotating. That way you can end up with 4 three layer images. I just purchased mine (having Reg and Mini Misti and Tim Holtz), this is very useful addition!

    Just bought one this past weekend! Can’t wait to really get to using it. I have a Cricut but it takes so long to letter something so stamping sentiments is faster and precise with this platform for a quick card or making a bunch. I liked this versatility for all stamps - clear or rubber plus the removable top.

    Crystal, the reason WRMK changed the precision plate is because Misty has a lawsuit against other companies using the hinged plates. Even Tim Holtz lost the suit . No one understands why she was able to patent the hinge itself when others are different than hers.

    • @ebriggs3498
      @ebriggs3498 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The owner of MISTI had a patent on the design. She designed it and everybody copied it. The only one that was different was Tim Holtz’s. Would you want somebody stealing your idea? Hero Arts and MISTI went in together and you can now get them through Joann Fabrics, but they are not too much cheaper than the original MISTI.

    Thank you for demonstrating the advantage of the WRMK platform. I'm very happy with my Tim Holtz platforms, but can definitely understand why this platform would be great for the layered stamps. Guess I need to invest in a WRMK platform too!!! Oh boy...a shopping I will go...

    Thanks for the review. It does help me make decisions on what to buy for crafting. As we all know, our habits in crafting can get expensive.
    The one thing I would liked to see is if the extra ink would have pressed on the paper. But you wiped out off. Dart!
    You were going for the pineapple. I was like, no, no, no. I want the flamingo! I'm glad you heard me! Lol
    I've seen this flamingo with the last layer done with gold embossing powder. It look lovely.

      You are so welcome I have left the ink and it didn't go on the paper :) and that would be cute with the gold

  • @theOmega989

    You can rotate the stamp block to accommodate more stamps. No need to buy that many extra stamp plates. I want to get the new accessories they have for it now. like the bar-like stamp plate that just goes across either horizontally OR vertically, not both. With it you can stamp up and down your paper to make rows. So cool. Thanks for the comparison video!

      @deborahanne9793 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Angela Stone But if you rotate , you take a chance on a shadow on ink from the other stamp marking your card stock? Even with cleaning the stamp sometimes it remains a bit of ink?

    My husband and I celebrated our 35th anniversary on July 4th. We have the same anniversary. All the kids and grandkids were here and we shot off fireworks like every year. cool you celebrate with everyone also. I wish we had gone to Mississippi but Glenn is building me a 20x20 craft building with a 6x20 front porch. That is my present. YAY! I can't wait until it is finished. Yes, I waited 35 years. Anyway I wanted to say I got some stamps from China. I had just bought the Travel stamp platform by Tim Holtz so I tried stamping with it. I couldn't get a good stamp. I thought it was the stamp but then I used the Fiskars Stamp thingy with the 4 cushion feet on top of the Sizzix stamping pad and it worked out great. So I don't have a clue what I am doing wrong with the Travel stamp platform. It would stamp the outside so I tried restamping and pressed on the inside it wouldn't stamp, no matter what. Grrrr

      Happy Anniversary WOW 35 years is amazing. The 4th of July is such a fun anniversary isn't it hanging with all the friends and family and you get a cool show and food :) That craft room is going to be awesome thats a great size and a front porch you can craft inside or out I bet you have all kinds of crafty ideas running though your brain. what a super sweet husband you have :) On your travel stamp pad did you try to but a layer of foam under your paper? try that and see if it helps

    I have the Hampton Art & Sizzix versions. With both the magnets are taller than the clear stamps so I have to use tape. Many times I have better luck with the old-fashioned acrylic blocks. And the cling stamps often don't stick to the lid. Your samples came out perfectly with the magnets, so I might like this version much better. Cherished Treasures just uploaded a "NEW @ TUESDAY MORNING" video & they have the advanced version for $19 (IN TEXAS WHO ALWAYS GETS THE GOOD STUFF). Lately I've been shocked to be getting stray ink all over everything & I thought I was getting worse rather than better with my stamping. I was glad to see it happened to you. I'm wondering in the tiny cube inkpads would prevent his. Thanks for the demo.

    • @YouCanTotallyMakeThat
      @YouCanTotallyMakeThat  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The tiny cube ink might just be the trick and I have heard they are at Tuesday mornings as well :)

      I have all the mini distress sets & some memento dew drops but they're harder to store for easy acess. I swear I don't remember stamps inking up like that until lately but I'm probably wrong. Maybe the almost FREE AliExpress stamps I'm buying are sinking in quality. The distress oxides are even worse than most & clear stamps don't clean up well with them. I wonder if the $Tree shamWow knockoffs would work as well as that one you posted the link for.

    The reason that almost all hinged platforms are off the market in the US is because the gal who has MSP patented the Misti and got a too broad patent and she sued everyone so she now has an unfair monopoly on stamp platforms with hinges and rulers.

    I highly recommend good quality photopolymer stamps. You will be amazed at the fantastic impressions you get, unlike the silicone ones you showed there. Silicone repels liquid, which is why you can see ink beading on them. Also why they are not sticky and won't cling to their packaging. They are kind of mushy so when pushed down give an uneven impression. Photopolymer is porous so ink sits on it beautifully and it's a whole new ball game with stamping compared to the cheap silicone stamps.
    Not sure why the Precision Press was discontinued. Before it's release they were taken to court (along with Tim) by Misti owner so I doubt it was that. Both had to change their designs. I love the Precision Press so much I bought a spare for when mine dies (which I think will be many years at this rate). Their hinge is the best out there. I am a bit rough with mine as it's so sturdy I have no worries about breaking it. I don't do it on purpose, just lazy haha. It was great to see a demo of the new one as I can see I would hate it. Old one is way easier to ink on the lid, less desk space having to do so and much faster to stamp with. I have a piece of printer paper with Kokuyo dotliner on it in my Precision. I just whack my paper on, stamp and pull it off easy peasy. I think I'd find magnets annoying. Only downside I hate about the old PP is the base is easily stained by ink (hence why I added paper to it and now love it).
    Thank you so much for taking the time to demo this for us. Definitely made up my mind to not buy one. I love the old PP and was really surprised how good it is considering American Crafts usually put out cheap junk that doesn't work or breaks quickly, with non existent customer service.

    I have a brother scan and cut, I always have problems with the scan even with the simplest of images! When I go to resize or zoom in on the scan! It’s so frustrating that I can’t scan to the machine or scan to cut! The scan only picks up pieces and parts of the image! Do you know of any fixes or hacks to this problem? Thanks new subscriber!

      Check out (if you haven’t already) Monkeys Paper Palooza’s channel. There’s a recent video about 30 minutes long. It explains the full lawsuit and why two similar products are now off the market.
      My Sweet Petunia’s Misti of course is patented and I can’t say I blame her for the lawsuit. I don’t own any of her products just yet as they are rather pricey. I’m considering purchasing hers and the We R Memory Keepers sometime this year. I have the Hampton Arts and glad I got it long before it was pulled.
      My retirement budget I try to watch with a vengeance. 🤓😉

      It takes a lot of money and time to get a new product on the market when you are the inventor. Big companies like Ranger can have it mass produced in China and undercut the original designer. With the MISTI she had to come up with the prototype and then take those prototypes around to the different manufactures to sell it. Nobody bought it so she patented and sold it herself. It is more expensive because they are not mass produced in China. Hope that helps you to know what was going on behind the scenes.
