I'm 68 and this was the song I played at the teen center on my reservation. Pool tables, pinball machines and hot dog or hamburger at the kitchen. For cheap.

This was the song I loved when I was expecting my beautiful daughter 53yrs ago I had her in my life for 42yrs then god needed her more until we meet again my Claire x
My dad will play the radio in his car. The song will pop up when I get inside the car. My dad will start teasing me. Just to make me smile or laugh. Those were the good old day. ❤❤❤❤❤
I disagree! As I love this track and thousands of others from this era, there are some very talented singer songwriters and bands out there, you just have to dig is all, 😉
One of my favorite songs ever! So happy and uplifting. So carefree and I can picture Rosemary in my head, "she talks kind of lazy, people say she crazy, and her life's a mystery." Love it all. One of the best songs ever. Here's to free spirits everywhere!
Tony Burrows also did session work for artists like Elton John, Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck, Alan Price, Cliff Richard, Chris Spedding, and KIKI DEE. Tony’s voice is also heard on the initial “I’ Like to Teach the World to Sing” Coca Cola commercial.
@@user-mh1pm6xh6yHe was talking about Edison Lighthouse which had a million different members. Tony was only in the group for one year. Then they became just Edison. Love Grows is a one hit wonder for the group not the singer. ☺
Oh man this takes me right back to a time when life was simple. Pay board to mum and dad, clothes washed, sorted, no responsibilities. Fri/sat/sun nights out with my mates, which usually involved chatting up girls and having a great time Aaaah take me back
Another great classic Rock and Roll song from way back. Times were simpler then and we had a lot more fun than the teenagers of today. We also got along just fine without computers and cell phones. 😀
About 1970 I played in a group. One night, we played in a club right before Edison Lighthouse. A few days later, there was a report in a music magazine that said "Edison Lighthouse weren't up to much. The group that played before them were almost as good". The closest I ever came to fame.
My God I'm 61years old I grew in Boston. I remember when this song came out. Me and my friends were sitting on the rod iron stairs a cross ✝️ From where we lived.
It’s 1970,the radio is playing , Love Grows, it’s time to walk to school with friends, it’s a 2 mile walk across a golf course, it raining! I’d go back tomorrow and start again! Great times!

@@andrewjohnstone963 I bought mine in ‘66 and had it till ‘80. Danced my youth on the memorable records we played in it. My Dansette was black and silver, with dainty legs! Good memories too!
When I heard this song on Top of the Pops at the beginning of 1970 its simplistic lyrics and backing arrangement made it so special. Barry Mason who co-wrote the song ranks amongst the country's greatest songwriters, along with Les Read, Geoff Stephens and John Carter, who have left a wonderful musical legacy, and are hardly known to the public. The 1960s and 70s musical output will probably still be popular for the next 50 years given most of it will never seem outdated.
Gotta love Mary Quant!! Her creation is probably borderline today. Tony is a great singer of course. I failed to mention an impeccable arrangement and the backing vocals are so well arranged and integrated sublimely with Tony's lead lines. Exemplary!!
Edison Lighthouse are an English pop band, formed in London in 1969. The band was best known for their 1970 hit single "Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)" recorded in late 1969.🥁🎸🎷🎶❤️
What a great song by legend singer and song writer tony burrows. I remember this song from 1970. One of my favourite songs. I hope he is placed in music hall of fame since the flower pot men

Tony Burrows as lead vocalist on his own song. He usually kept a low profile and had five 'one-hit wonders' under different band names. You might also spot Peter Noone, of 'Herman's Hermits', as a member of this incarnation.

The pair found a group called Greenfield Hammer, who a week later appeared on Top of the Pops as 'Edison Lighthouse' to mime to the fastest-climbing number-one hit record in history at that point.
