In Nepal Buddhism and Hinduism go hand in hand. Like two sides of a same coin. Their culture is mixture of buddhism and hinduism. You will often find hindu temple and buddhist monastry in the same place or area.
Yes, very true. It was eye opening to see the differences and also the similarities that lie underneath the physical sides of these two incredible religions 😌❤️🇳🇵
Siddhartha Gautama was born into a royal family in Nepal, he led a sheltered life until he encountered the realities of human suffering. This profound experience led him to renounce his royal status in search of spiritual enlightenment. After years of ascetic practices and meditation, Siddhartha attained enlightenment while meditating under a Bodhi tree, becoming the Buddha, which means "the Enlightened One." And he was from Hindu family so there is direct relation between Hinduism and Buddhism. And Gautam Bhudha is also knows as the 9th incarnation of hindu lord Bishnu. So you can see the connection. It's enough knowledge for today 😅❤
I have been following your post from past few days. Really appreciate your energy. The one selling those pity little birds at Boudhanath is an Indian. 😢

Boudha wasn't built by the Tibetan king. It was there built by us,newsr native of Kathmandu 400 ad ago. Later in history it was rebuilt and expanded by many kings including the Tibetan. Here is a piece of history. We newar used to trade with tibet. It's really long walking for both traders. So Bouddha was one of the places where traders take rest like today's hotel but free. And also a place to do trade. After tibet was united in China the Tibetan ran away They don't know where to go so those who used to do trade with us came here in Bouddha. Safe heaven for them but I guess today's people are forgetting those things. It's really sad. we helped them now they wanna claim ours.
