Just after they exit the room, the announcer on the TV introduces the 'new' science fiction show...Doctor Who.
The one who waits is called Chris, his name has been in huge letters throughout the episode. Or it just could be coincidence. Something to think about.
It's so funny that people here are crying about the musical at the end when the whole episode was about music and its absence of it and what it does. So stupid lol
Gosh this was a crazy episode indeed. Honestly I didn’t think I was going to like this story but surprisingly i did. I really enjoyed this story, maestro was wild! Oh the scene where they travel to see London in the future, kinda reminds of Pyramids of Mars
My guess is that The One Who Waits is something like a celestial storyteller. There's been a *ton* of fourth wall breaking in these last three episodes -- even the more subtle ones, like the Doctor saying in this episode "I thought that music was non-diagetic!" -- and I'm getting the feeling that's intentional. Combine that with the way the "pantheon" of celestials are all based on fundamental methods of expression, like games and music... plus the whole season's theme of "stories coming to life", like with the Goblin King, then the Boogeyman... and with Ruby's birth memory both manifesting itself in the space station *and* altering itself -- like rewriting the story. All of that to me screams "we're getting a celestial who can manipulate stories so much they're influencing the story of Doctor Who itself". (Oh, and the way the goblins were powered by coincidences -- like, "oh, isn't that a convenient bit of writing to move the plot forward" in a story, perhaps?)
@The-Busy-Beeeee now that I think about it she made a comment about being 20 in the show. If her birthday is getting closer it could be they usually always have some holiday special right and she was a Christmas baby. If I recall the docotr also mentioned June 2024. Since it's not June yet this obviously implies the show is ahead of us a bit. As it progresses we could end up in December.
3:03 I loved them having the Maestro start the song 18:25 I agree with this take. Would have liked them more involved Really enjoyed this episode. I thought the twist at the end was cheesy but rest of the episode was great. Maestro was a cool villain.
LET'S GO! I loved this episode so much. The oldest must mean Maestro's older sibling who might be a good guy. And The One Who Waits is so powerful that the entire family fears them.
I saw someone spit balling that The One Who Waits could be Clara, stuck in the last moment of her life (or whatever it was, been a while lol) running around the universe in her own Tardis, but went insane and evil and set all this up to destroy the Doctor and save herself etc. Kind of makes sense, but it's so unlikely lol
@@christianschoff2490 I mean if Clara went bad, really really bad - who knows. Let's not forget, Clara was tied into every Doctor's timeline, right? Or in every important moment in his timeline, or something like that. So, if she goes crazy and evil, and has her own Tardis and stuck in her last moment - maybe she just became incredibly powerful somehow. I have no idea, like I said these folks talking about it were just spit balling and said it's very unlikely. Plus, Clara coming back probably would have leaked by now. Maybe.
Totally agree with you guys, that music number was needed, utterly cringe and stupid, really hope they dont continue to do these stupid fourth wall breaks like that one that are just for the sake of it.
The only thing I'm wondering is why was it raining inside? The ballons and the musical notes in Abbey Road? I'd guess that it's related to what happened in the previous episode with the snow....??????? But neither the Doctor or Ruby comment or even acknowledge that at all so......??????
I don't know if the following "Twist" even has any "deeper meaning" - but it's still kind of intriguing. There is this unnamed (female) character, who appeared in "Wild Blue Yonder", who also appeared in "The Church on Ruby Road", and who has even briefly appeared in "Space Babies" and "The Devils Chord" (and maaaaybe she'll be in future episodes too? Who knows? 🤔😉 )....... It's not known if the character is supposed to be the same person. But the ACTORS name is Susan Twist. (Dun Dun DUUUUUUUN!!!!!) 😳 As I said, I don't know if this means anything...... But then again...... In the end........ 😏😉

Hmm after mulling on it, i think rubys a plant from the toymaster, or possibly the master.. i think the actress susan twist playing numerous different characters, the latest being s. triad is because she IS the tardis, remember how the doctor bigenerated, then said were still in the toymasters world and pulled out a cartoon hammer then split the tardis into two, its been acting odd ever since, so maybe shes the other half in disguise, its been done before, Being in the toymasters world would explain why everythings super cheesy, n why its dr seussy and breaking the 4th wall, and why all the episodes seem so off....also when the so called sonic was used to silence maestro it wasn't blue like it usually is. But is one who waited.. Omega I hope so.. But may be none of this
just in case you hadnt seen/heard, RTD has stated he has ZERO plans to deal with the Master during his return, that character having been well overused since first returning in NuWHo with DerekJacobi, then morphing into "John Saxon", etc etc

Looks like Sam Kinison became the Mad Hatter
I adored this episode, but I am SUPER STOKED for next week's!!
I wonder if the oldest was referring to the oldest of the toymakers child. And is actually a good person. The one who waits is maybe another.
Maybe the “one who waits” is rubies mum or dad and she’s part human or timelord perhaps
@The-Busy-Beeeee interesting there is definitely something about ruby that's odd. Maybe they waited for her 21st birthday.
@@jimcecil4558 indeed I am very intrigued on where they take her story
@The-Busy-Beeeee now that I think about it she made a comment about being 20 in the show. If her birthday is getting closer it could be they usually always have some holiday special right and she was a Christmas baby. If I recall the docotr also mentioned June 2024. Since it's not June yet this obviously implies the show is ahead of us a bit. As it progresses we could end up in December.
@@jimcecil4558 oooooo that would be so awesome
AND this week we get Moffats first episode back and I’m STOKED!
3:03 I loved them having the Maestro start the song
18:25 I agree with this take. Would have liked them more involved
Really enjoyed this episode. I thought the twist at the end was cheesy but rest of the episode was great. Maestro was a cool villain.
RIP William Russell (Ian Chesterton).😪
The chord is the last chord from the song The End.
A Day in the Life
For a moment I thought the doctor would play Clara’s theme in this episode
Awesome reaction of my favorite Doctor Who episode!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
Bet you say that every week
LET'S GO! I loved this episode so much. The oldest must mean Maestro's older sibling who might be a good guy. And The One Who Waits is so powerful that the entire family fears them.
I recon it’s Omega
I saw someone spit balling that The One Who Waits could be Clara, stuck in the last moment of her life (or whatever it was, been a while lol) running around the universe in her own Tardis, but went insane and evil and set all this up to destroy the Doctor and save herself etc. Kind of makes sense, but it's so unlikely lol
@@LordLOC but why would Toymaker fear Clara?
@@fredpearce1531 that'd be interesting. We know so little about Omega. I still think The Doctor was Omega before the memory wipe though.
Maybe.
I had issues with space babies (Eric however was ADORABLE) but I LOVED this one
Why do I feel like all the toymaker’s legions are being portrayed by guest stars.
Totally agree with you guys, that music number was needed, utterly cringe and stupid, really hope they dont continue to do these stupid fourth wall breaks like that one that are just for the sake of it.
The Bio-Dome t-shirt.
Could the oldest one be Santa!
The only thing I'm wondering is why was it raining inside? The ballons and the musical notes in Abbey Road? I'd guess that it's related to what happened in the previous episode with the snow....??????? But neither the Doctor or Ruby comment or even acknowledge that at all so......??????
My theory is that it was like the "state of play" that lingered after the Toymaker's defeat. So they used it to make a musical number this time.
The One who waits? Susan . the Susan Twist
between the 2 episodes this was my fave. i loved Maestro. so a creepy villain. i love music that's probably why this scared me so much. can't wait until next week. great reaction
The Devil's Chord is an actual thing, but I don't recall if it was banned because of the church or not.
Wow, Jinx Monsoon from RuPaul's Drag Race....as Maestro!
You guys didn’t even realize the maestro done the giggle of the toy maker
There's always a TWIST IN THE END is the Hint to the character SUSAN TWIST 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
If Maestro returned, I’d like to see them control the doctor with music like the pied piper, breaking into song and dance, with actual musical numbers,
(I have the scene with the piper in controlling the ogre’s in Shrek forever after in my head) 😅😅
Moffat wrote episode 3, the next one.
no dr who was 1st broadcast nov 23 1963 this is before the 1st dr and susan
lLNLeverl llmind lMs twist! The woman who distracted Maestro with musci? Yeah Ms Hudson is a costume designer. 32 episodes of Dr Who (78-81).
Disneys Once Upon A Time have done this Emma had a hidden song in her heart put there by her mother before she had to give her away as a baby & that protected her when she came up against her enemies & even kills her most dangerous foe with the hidden song. This is not a new concept ... Sorry
I think there setting up an episode (possibly the final episode or the Christmas episode) where ruby will find out why she was left and I wonder if the next door neighbour knows something 🤔 and every episode they meet someone who warns them or something
I love Jinkx! ❤
The music battle reminds me of Friday night funkin if you never heard of that game
Huge fan of the Doctor Who and Vanessa …two 🎉❤ You know I spelled two SOO wrong , but SOO RIGHT 😂 I guess it is not that nippy where you live …but I have the chills😢 SUBSCRIBE to this fabulous channel 😊 😊n
There's a theory that the fourth wall breaks are part of the other weirdnesses going on since Wild Blue Yonder. The "superstitions coming true" stuff. Like the butterfly thing in Space Babies.
The song at the end of this was a disappointing. It....wasn't great.
Yea I would’ve just preferred instead of the song it was just instruments and singing coming from the studio and the notes thing at the end was really cute
Its not the twist but did resemble....the time warp😂
Now this one was a good episode 👏
Hmm after mulling on it, i think rubys a plant from the toymaster, or possibly the master..
i think the actress susan twist playing numerous different characters, the latest being s. triad is because she IS the tardis,
remember how the doctor bigenerated, then said were still in the toymasters world and pulled out a cartoon hammer then split the tardis into two, its been acting odd ever since, so maybe shes the other half in disguise, its been done before,
Being in the toymasters world would explain why everythings super cheesy, n why its dr seussy and breaking the 4th wall, and why all the episodes seem so off....also when the so called sonic was used to silence maestro it wasn't blue like it usually is.
@@ZakhadWOW well.... that's alright then! Haha. That said does't mean it's true but I'd hope not
The kid was the twist. Is he the one who waits?
The good things out way the bad, Ncuti Gatwa is fantastic as the Doctor he's one of the few I've intentatly liked glad they finally mentioned Susan the song and dance number at the end took me out of it a bit.
Iam not a big doctor who fan I’ve just seen the dr specials and these 2 episode and Iam like them and I ruby she’s a great character and Iam curious to see how this season wraps up!
Guys hello. Listen to me, what if Ruby is somehow related to Susan? So she’s related to the Doctor?
Oh my god! Could Ruby’s real mother be “the one who waits”?
Thought Jinx called him a he.
I mean, maybe it is her dad instead, but all the same
@@LauraGS564 Maestro was referring to "the Oldest One" in that segment. We don't know if the Oldest One, the One Who Waits, and the Meep's boss are all the same character yet.
How many children does Toymaker have? Who’s the big bad of the season?
I suspect RTD wasn't trying to make a good musical number at the end there; I think he's just having a bit of fun and making everyone cringe.😂
I'd like to see bex klaus play next Susan if she generate?
I totally agree about the "Twist at the End" song. It really sounded like the bad songs at the beginning. Loved the episode, though! Great villain with fun cartonny facial expression.
abbey road the real place has no trees its a good look a like
the toy maker
Waiting for the next Fallout reaction 🙏
sounded like OD’d on marijuana, and LCD simultaneously
Ok Ruby shouldnt know about Susan. How does she know her name ??
