I wish he had more confidence in his natural beauty; I wish the kpop training machine didn’t manufacture insecurities by nitpicking tiny details. I know everyone is wishing Chan would see himself the way we see him, but if you've ever struggled with self esteem issues you know that it really is a personal journey. True honestly. No matter how much you tell anyone to feel better about their complex or smt like that bc it's not a flaw and whatnot, it's really up to them to actually start believing these words. this is just another proof that k-pop idols are just humans, normal human beings like everybody else in the world. they go through the same struggles as everyone, they experience pain, insecurity, low self-esteem and self-love, they can have complexes and they also struggle to get over these problems. this means that if they receive bad comments and feedback about their appearance, they're gonna struggle and suffer even more, just like everyone else. that's why i think we fans should always try our best to make our precious idols feel loved, accepted and amazingly perfect as they are. they always try their best to reassure us and give us good advice/help, so we must do the same.

I’ve had the hardest time with my own physical insecurities and I was extremely negative before I got into stray kids and received proper therapy (which is the reason why I said so to you in my first comment; therapy is very helpful). Stray kids songs (like voices, scars, insomnia) just speak to me so much, and Chan’s rooms is one of my fav parts of the week. Angel, he truly is. And as an ot8, it just goes to show, like I always find so many good qualities in all of them which I want to adapt as well. People who get to know Chan really come off a better version of themselves 💕

Но вот когда я поступил на первый курс универа... Там много высоких студентов и они выглядят довольно взрослыми (хотя и невысоких тоже прилично). И когда я прохожу по коридору, кто-то да отпустит шутку "а что здесь делает начальная школа?". Таких случаев было около шести и они меня довольно сильно задевали. И это всё продолжается на втором курсе, правда было только два раза это теперь меня не так сильно задевает. На это вроде как глупо обижаться, но я почему-то обиделся ахах. В общем я работаю над увеличением роста, надеюсь смогу вырасти хотя бы как Бан Чан, примерно до 170 см. Вай, какой милый у тебя рост! Попробуй делать растяжку, висеть на турнике (если есть возможность), есть морковь и пить витамин D, я всё это делаю. Делаю ещё только две недели, поэтому не могу утверждать, что вырос на миллион см, но я стал чаще тянуться.

I’m glad he said these things even though I can’t see how any of them make him in any way ugly. I love chan’s face and my arms do the exact same thing (I think it’s pretty cool). I know people mean well and the idea is good and all, but saying love yourself really doesn’t do anything for me. As a super insecure person I’ve learned to play off of my insecurities, for example I’m pretty tall for a girl but recently I’ve started wearing thicker soles/ platformed shoes and for some reason it’s helped. Also wearing more clothes that I like has been an insane help for me. I’ve learned that looks are only a small piece of you and even then, there are so many ways to put more of “you” into how you look. I feel like my problem was being uncomfortable in my own skin and realizing this helped me feel better. Looks aren’t everything. Not only is chan insanely beautiful, he’s such an intelligent, caring, and wonderful person who inspires me to be better and gives me hope in humanity.

Humans are asymmetrical, baby. All of us have one side that's bigger or sits higher than the other. Remember your mom asking if you tried the shoes you're buying on the bigger foot to make sure they fit? Hairstylists are trained to determine where your hair part should be to balance asymmetry because we all have it. I understand that in the industry you're in it's easy to compare yourself, but if you look around reeeeeally closely, you'll see everyone else is just the same.

this is just another proof that k-pop idols are just humans, normal human beings like everybody else in the world. they go through the same struggles as everyone, they experience pain, insecurity, low self-esteem and self-love, they can have complexes and they also struggle to get over these problems. this means that if they receive bad comments and feedback about their appearance, they're gonna struggle and suffer even more, just like everyone else. that's why i think we fans should always try our best to make our precious idols feel loved, accepted and amazingly perfect as they are. they always try their best to reassure us and give us good advice/help, so we must do the same.

I’ve had the hardest time with my own physical insecurities and I was extremely negative before I got into stray kids and received proper therapy (which is the reason why I said so to you in my first comment; therapy is very helpful). Stray kids songs (like voices, scars, insomnia) just speak to me so much, and Chan’s rooms is one of my fav parts of the week. Angel, he truly is. And as an ot8, it just goes to show, like I always find so many good qualities in all of them which I want to adapt as well. People who get to know Chan really come off a better version of themselves 💕

Но вот когда я поступил на первый курс универа... Там много высоких студентов и они выглядят довольно взрослыми (хотя и невысоких тоже прилично). И когда я прохожу по коридору, кто-то да отпустит шутку "а что здесь делает начальная школа?". Таких случаев было около шести и они меня довольно сильно задевали. И это всё продолжается на втором курсе, правда было только два раза это теперь меня не так сильно задевает. На это вроде как глупо обижаться, но я почему-то обиделся ахах. В общем я работаю над увеличением роста, надеюсь смогу вырасти хотя бы как Бан Чан, примерно до 170 см.

I’m glad he said these things even though I can’t see how any of them make him in any way ugly. I love chan’s face and my arms do the exact same thing (I think it’s pretty cool). I know people mean well and the idea is good and all, but saying love yourself really doesn’t do anything for me. As a super insecure person I’ve learned to play off of my insecurities, for example I’m pretty tall for a girl but recently I’ve started wearing thicker soles/ platformed shoes and for some reason it’s helped. Also wearing more clothes that I like has been an insane help for me. I’ve learned that looks are only a small piece of you and even then, there are so many ways to put more of “you” into how you look. I feel like my problem was being uncomfortable in my own skin and realizing this helped me feel better. Looks aren’t everything. Not only is chan insanely beautiful, he’s such an intelligent, caring, and wonderful person who inspires me to be better and gives me hope in humanity.
