Ashaji was not staying with Lata when Mere Watan Ke Logon was conceived..so to say she went to Lata is an imaginative story..Listen to Kavi Pradeep’s interview..he wanted this song to be sung by Lata only..Ashaji is a genius singer no doubt..but to say Lata was not as versatile..is laughable..Lata made space for Asha to create her individuality by deliberately refusing funky songs..Songs like Aa Jaane Ja, Bahon Mein Chale Aao to name a few was testimony to her all round versatility…Media personalities like Peeyush Sharma were never entertained by Lata..so most of these people were having tremendous negative feelings towards Lata as a person..Anyways..Lata doesn’t need any accreditation from media personalities, like Mr Sharma

I don't know why he holds so much disdain for Swarkokila Lata jee . He has fabricated concocted story about Ae Mere Watan Ke logo .. Arzoo you must gaurd against such hatred and don't allow your platform to be used for peddling such agenda . Two : About Kati Patang song . The lines described by Altaf jee comes only once in the song and that too in Mukhda, very beginning. Mukesh was accomplished singer , and has sung ghazals of Ghalib Dhaugh , Jigar Muradabadi and ever persion of Amir Khusro . He understood difficult urdu and Persian words । His rendering of Amir Khusro with Persian words is flawless . In the subject song Mukesh has perfectly redeted the lyrics and there is no misprnounciation as mention by Altaf jee . I am surprised Peeyush Sharma who thinks himself to be very knowledgeable was laughing at it . He should have corrected Altaf jee then and there . I am posting link to you tube video of the song .
