2H : permanent mode ( Normal Mode).
4H : when your are on sandy , dusty , snowy roads and all u need here more torque and speed for momentum as well .
4 L : when you are climbing , towing any heavy vehicle/Trailer . All u need here only more torque/ power & less speed .

@@ashffpatel455 2H is your normal car average(4x2) : for petrol Thar less than 10 kmpl and for Diesel Thar : 12-13 kmpl and for 4H ( 4x4) mode : average will be lesser .

Like 4L1, 4L2, 4L3... We have this system in tractors like 4 forward speeds in low gear and 4 in high gear total 8 forward gears.. can we do that in thar as well?
