Nothing changes the game like using a Helicopter and that just takes it to a whole nother level of tree removal. Excellent way to use your resources to get the job done.
I think I saw Josh in there. Keep up the good work man. This is Taylor from the SIU conclave days. Really cool to see people that have been in it for awhile evolve and change with the gear and tactics. Some people just stick with the old stuff and get stagnant. You guys are keeping up with the new and learning. Plus you threw in a helicopter. Love it.
Incredible.. just when I thought our job really couldn't get better... then add helicopters! I'm very jealous, would LOVE to be on that climbing crew!!
Very impressive. I do crane removals, so I imagine this job to be like using the WORST crane operator in history and still getting it done. I'm impressed.
I was a climber for 35 years in La. And Ms. No helicopters. I have had some shitty crane operators almost take me out numerous times. They won’t get it away fast enough and it’ll swing back. Never piss the operator off. He can get you. Btw. I met a man that put up big power lines across the La. swamps for 30+ years as a pilot. He said he was wasted on pain killers and booze every time.
Exellent job lads...ive shared this with all the other tree climbers on my facebook page..i have to do at least one or two Heli Fells!! before i retire!!
I’ve used 90 ton cranes, blocked down some 200’ firs and redwoods. I can’t figure out why you’d need a helecoptor for this job? Maybe block everything down and chopper it out but why cut from in the tree?!? Too many variables for my risk tolerance.
I'm going with a starting price of around 20k, assuming half to the pilot and the rest to the crew. I've never done it myself but I'd assume the customer didn't want anything touching the ground and creating one tiny flaw in the yard. Otherwise I can't see the purpose of this, we use a bobcat w grapple for our cleanup, turf tires leave a finish like a zero turn. Either way my hats off to you, done like a boss. Arnold: get tha tree to tha choppa
The way we do helicopter removals here is to lower a running chipper down on top of the tree and chip it in place. No sawing and the chips just blow away.
btron1234 i believe it was because it was a multi million dollar house and they didnt have anywhere to zipline it to and the owner prob didnt want drop marks on his lawn.
If you rig something down there are no drop marks. It looks like the down draft from the helicopter just made it way more dangerous than it need to be.
SpooderPig1 is wrong. Just rope it to what your dropping. Then rope the other end to the tree. Trop it slowly after roping it around the base trunk and have your grounders pull it down slowly. No marks on lawn. But whatevs. Done it before on a expensive af house but I guess that means nothing so lets get a helo. Shit from the military also, I woulda felt safer with someone from the military flying the helo. That bitch was all over the place. Not steady at all.
Tyler Schillig I'm guessing from what I can see they used the chopper because it would have been too hard to get all that wood and debris out from where the trees were and the customer was rich ass hell and willing to pay for it so why not! looked like they knew what they're doing, just like crane work
I watch two videos about helicopter and youtube recommend me this video. Well.. Thank you youtube. This kind of interesting to watch. Last video i watched is about pruning trees using helicopter alongside the powerline, now cutting down the tree. Interesting indeed..
@ Boris ... when will the episode be available for Helicopter chimney sweeping Helicopter draincleaning Helicopter window cleaning (inside and out) Helicopter school crossing patrol ...
salame milan I use gloves out of necessity for winter, but all summer let the calluses do the work! They're my natural gloves. Coworkers give me crap, but it works for me and keeps me agile
Everybody talked about how the tree removal was done this way to save the grounds from being damaged. Ok, I can understand that. Especially if you have the money to afford this kind of tree removal, BUT.. What about the ugly stumps left behind?? If they were THAT picky about those trees and the yard, they wouldn't just leave the stumps! How was THAT part of the job handled?? They must have retired after doing this job. They don't have any more videos about tree work. Out anything else for that matter. This job obviously paid extraordinarily well considering they bought a whole fleet of brand new saws just for this job! Lastly, looking at the terrain and the grounds, I saw no real good reason to HAVE to use a helicopter to get the material out. It sure did make for some interesting video AND conversation about the why's and what fors of doing it this way!
sorry man that is not heli logging. interesting tree job though u guy's look like a bunch of new borns up there. topping old growth with the air crane or Chinook is how we role . can u say 27 thousand pnd dead lift thats heli logging.
easily one of the coolest things ive ever seen

Awesome as hell! My husband has been an arborist for 23 years, and he was impressed!!!

Great job with the video as well. I have edited a few of my own now and to get it done well takes some time.
SIU!!!
That was badass!, excellent job!.
I don't think i could think of a more enjoyable job! well done guys ... that's one epic video
was about to ask if a helicopter was really necessary, then I saw the house...
oh so jealous! well done, both pilot and climber!
Incredible.. just when I thought our job really couldn't get better... then add helicopters! I'm very jealous, would LOVE to be on that climbing crew!!
Number one saws to use for any tree company the Husqvarna
Very impressive. I do crane removals, so I imagine this job to be like using the WORST crane operator in history and still getting it done. I'm impressed.
I was thinking the same thing!
That has to be expensive as fuck... Great job anyway
Awesome video! Nice editing and very nice work!

There are trees out here that I could use a Helio instead of tied off with a rope to dropping them
That's got to be some scary stuff when the tree is whipping all around and you're hooking up that cable.
I’m up for working with this company as an observer
WOW! Awesome Heavenly Job! my heart beats fast...
Exellent job lads...ive shared this with all the other tree climbers on my facebook page..i have to do at least one or two Heli Fells!! before i retire!!
That was awesome. ive done quit a few crane jobs but I bet that was a rush
I just do rigging and sometimes a crane or boom lift, never this. What an awesome experience! I'd love the opportunity to do work like this!
superb vid! always good to have customers with more money than sense. wouldn't 100 latinos with wheelbarrows be cheaper?
all that wind wash, I bet saw dust could be a real pain. That looks so freakin fun. Good job guys. nice video
hellova job guys...whos idea was it to fly the picks out??? don't see that much round here. made it look easy... hope to see more!
How do you guys ground the cable before touching it to discharge the static of the rotors?
I’ve used 90 ton cranes, blocked down some 200’ firs and redwoods. I can’t figure out why you’d need a helecoptor for this job? Maybe block everything down and chopper it out but why cut from in the tree?!? Too many variables for my risk tolerance.

Arnold: get tha tree to tha choppa
Pilot probably gets $200. A few hundred to the saw guys and ground crew. The rest to the owner/operator.
And 3/4 of that to insurance...
Michael King $200 to the pilot? LOL!
Great video and I liked the editing.
Брала такие гаффы в Санкт-Петербурге у Сергея(Альпнева), уже 4 года пользуюсь - нет никаких нареканий.

Much respect for brave professional crew!

I don't think the home owners were worried about expense lol just look at that house. Amazing job guys
Awesome video. What was the name of the first tune TreeCare brother?
The way we do helicopter removals here is to lower a running chipper down on top of the tree and chip it in place. No sawing and the chips just blow away.

George Woodworth
Awesome but surely the cost of the heli, crew...etc outweighed the profit?
Super cool to watch great job!
GOOD JOB Guys !!! Nice smooth cutting...Thumbs up...awesome location..stay safe ...cheers...
helicopter seems a little unnecessary. these are just simple rigging jobs. Kudos for effort I guess
btron1234 i believe it was because it was a multi million dollar house and they didnt have anywhere to zipline it to and the owner prob didnt want drop marks on his lawn.

Yes but if you look below there are streams and whatnot so what I dont think they had room to rig it down besides helicopter= awesome removal.

how long until that forearm pain is gone. i dropped a few trees for two days and my forearms were killing
hondamxbmx692 after doing it got a few weeks you just get ripped and the pain dissipates ;)
I wonder if they couldn't take the whole tree in one shot so you could cut from the ground ?
why isn't your chainsaw lanyard connected???
Breakdown of the removal cost please . . .
how you like the 550xp
TasKmen LOVE that saw. Not for climbing, but awesome in the bucket
I want to know what kind of harness he has
i like that he uses no gloves at all times...! Hsa guys dont understand that for some tasks you just cant use them at all. Electrician myself...
salame milan I use gloves out of necessity for winter, but all summer let the calluses do the work! They're my natural gloves. Coworkers give me crap, but it works for me and keeps me agile
Roofers will get some work. Loose shingles on how many houses

What a joke... Please break it down for me how you bid this job I'm so curious
stihl chain saw is the best
Much respect ,highly professional work, focused.Definately not some jackass wannabee climber.A+ Work from a fellow treeman.
The owner most likely owns that helicopter and is piloting it.
Well, that was neat!!

When money isn't an obstacle to gittin' 'er done.... Holy crap.....
sorry man that is not heli logging. interesting tree job though u guy's look like a bunch of new borns up there. topping old growth with the air crane or Chinook is how we role . can u say 27 thousand pnd dead lift thats heli logging.
