Excelente reaction! Dan no longer drops a video weekly. On a livestream, he said he did that grind so he could build his channel up to a place where he wouldn't have to do that grind anymore. Now, he's working on putting together videos of higher quality that will be evergreen. He released a little teaser today on his social media. He's got many projects that he's working on, and I'm patiently waiting for them; I grew up in the 80s, after all, when we had to wait sometimes for years for new music, and there was no social media to follow our favorite artists on and we sat by the radio for hours waiting for the DJs to play our favorite songs. Kids today have it so easy!
@josiahrobinson6135 Yes to all! I especially agree about how very different it is these days. When I was growing up (in Old Valdez, Alaska), we didn't even have TV. They finally got TV, YEARS after the big quake, when the new town was well-established, and I was married and moved away to another town (no fair!!!). 😀 We DID have a battery-powered transatlantic radio, though (we lived two miles out of town, and only ran the generator when it was absolutely necessary). I spent hours and hours staying as close to that radio as I could, and singing every single song with every single singer. My mom finally told me to stop doing that, because I sounded like each one of them, and that she just wanted to hear ME sing! 🤐 If there had been a TH-cam back then (a WHAT???!!!) in the late 50s, I'd have rebelled, and recorded everything! 🤪 Instead, I DID learn to know what MY voice really sounded like, and ran with that. However, I'm glad that Dan obviously did NOT! I love how he can take on just about any voice, and "do what he does" with it. So fantastic! Anyway...I, too, am happy to know that there are several things in the works (I watched the same livestream, I think, looking at the date you posted your comment, and from what you said). Patience, people! There's really good stuff coming! 😀
It blows my mind this song is done with ONE person!! Multiple layers of him singing and putting it together to look so effortless. His harmonies with himself are always spot on with all of his songs. Well done and as always--thoroughly enjoyed another song and your reaction.
What you will learn about Dan is, that some of the classics he actually does as close to the original as he can without actually copying, while he atill puts his own spin on them.

Splendid singer! About *his Timbre,* I must admit he has a voice that reminds me a little of "electrical voltage "or hum" in it. This is something which I would like to avoid. Unfortunately. Cuz he has a really great voice otherwise.
I'm not quite sure what you might be talking about here, but you might possibly be hearing a bit of a reverb--in this one that would possibly be because that was how the original song sounded. Other than that, there is the FACT that Dan's voice carries harmonics VERY consistently. I hear harmonics a LOT, and what his voice produces are good ones...very different from most of the ones that were generally produced by at least the metal singers back when my children were growing up. Most of those voices, back then, I couldn't listen to, because the harmonics THEY produced (especially in the high screams) totally undid my head, to the point that I could barely stand it, and would almost be screaming (in pain), myself. I have listened to every single one of Dan's videos on his channel, now (and some that are on Victor the Guitar Nerd's channel, plus a couple that are on other channels where he has collaborated with those channel owners), and though there are a couple I don't care a whole lot for, it's because of the subjects, not the quality of Dan's voice. His voice settles into my ears and brings only beautiful, harmonics floating through my head. There's a HUGE difference, in the same songs I heard long ago, and what I hear him singing, now...HUGE. Yet, he also sounds very much like the ones he covers--in that he he picks up their styles and their general general emotions and intents, not to mention their accents, even though his own speaking voice is still clearly accented by his native language.
