      They generally know the law, but when you're a cop, you deal with criminal type of people all day, so they're trained a specific way. They don't want cops that won't take action. They're trained to apprehend, identify, gather evidence, and prosecute. Obviously it sucks that they're allowed to break our civil rights, but as long as you know how to use your rights, and you get a recording of the incident, you can fight back, which is a good tradeoff given most countries let their cops outright mrdr you for messing with them or the establishment.

    What a terrible look for NYSP! As a retired State Trooper I'm ashamed of his behavior. They should have offered to show you around. The recruits are probably informed that they are not allowed to talk to anyone except for instructors while they are on the clock.

      Interesting, in ms police academy, there is no public contact until the end of your training when you spend several weeks with the a training officer. You can’t walk into the police academy like this

      @@maddiecake013 are you telling me there is no public lobby or reception desk at the police academy there so that if a private citizen who happened across the building wanted to go in and find out what it was and what they did there they could not? I'm not saying you're wrong but generally speaking any government owned property has some way of physically inspecting them for the public and for the public to physically get public records on site.

      Well. He did offer to walk to the front. I think that if LIA would have just said sure let’s walk and talk and the sarge did, It might have been different. I get it. He did offer to walk with LIA. I WISH LIA did take him up on his offer. The confrontation so to speak started afterwards because of men being men (swinging dicks)

    Sad example of recruits being trained incorrectly by tyrannical officers. Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. They missed an opportunity to train the recruits on public photography and the rights of all citizens. It’s a shame and they’re getting trained to view citizens as the enemy. It pisses me off

    Bless his heart, that officer desperately needs to be heard. The mental illness that plagues these types is so sad. Do we have a student of psychology on here that can tell us what makes these people so desperate to be in control of every step another human takes?     Sending the cadets inside to avoid a citizen and the camera gives the cadets exactly the wrong training. It’s no wonder why the citizen/police divide is as wide as it is. The interaction with the first trooper is very troubling. He initiated the confrontation and continued it inside. He needs a lot of training about deescalation and how to interact with the public.

    Dude even when you "lose your cool" you are civil and composed. That's the thing I love most about you as that's extremely hard to do which is I think a main focus of the audits and behavior we're looking to change. I can't stand aggressive condescension which is what a lot of amateur auditor's do.

    I’m from Australia and I love watching your content, it was actually good to see the cadets have a friendly chat and not be on the offensive. It’d be awesome if they brought auditor’s to cadet training seminars, you guys could certainly teach the transparency between the force and the people!
    Probably won’t ever happen but would be a great step in the right direction!

    It's the unjustified hostility that amazes me. They all have the buzzwords, "Service", "Integrity", etc., posted on the walls but apparently don't practice the actual concepts. Sean, I admire your patience in dealing with them especially since they constantly talk over you and cannot hold a reasonable conversation with you. Kudos.

      Shouldn't be a surprise. The law has no power to make people good. That's the entire reason Jesus came to Earth. The law was given to us through the 10 commandments, and common law was built on top of it, it's even written on our hearts, yet we break those laws time and time again. Knowledge of the law has no power to make people good. Knowledge of the constitution, and the really nice writings about service and integrity have no power to make good cops.

    The first thing that happens before anything when these cadets become officers they take an oath to PROTECT the consititution. The oath is not to a sargeant, a captain , a mayor or a president! Its to the constitution. THats their PURPOSE, their REASON , their duty, their charter ! ... Unfortunately that oath even though its the first thing they swore to, its the last thing they think about ! The country wont make if they keep failing to recognize this. THey are the last line of defense before the people need to rectify it themselves

    Amazing, that officer repeatedly lied. I have been in that building multiple times and never did anyone ever say a word when I was looking at the memorial and any of the other areas that have photos on the walls. I looked at everything and an officer even asked if I had any questions to feel free to ask. Only difference was I didn't have a video camera but I did take multiple photos with my phone and no one said a word. Please go back to that office and walk all around the public areas.

    I was so apprehensive for Sean watching this, it felt like he was walking into a dangerous area, the thin blue line gang head quarters and gang members training ground, they clearly have nefarious intentions towards him, they couldn’t believe that Sean had the balls to pay them a visit.     This video sheds some light on why cops keep sabotaging themselves with these interactions. They're brainwashed by instructors like that. Before the cadets even graduate, they're encouraged to seek problems to eliminate with haste. Even the first trooper lied and said he wasn't a cop, he just works there. Then relented and gave his name and badge number, but you can tell that wasn't his first thought. Could see the internal struggle clear as day with that one.

      They should allow public review of officers and the department's to see what they're doing and how they're doing it. If the review says this or that person did this and that. Then they could be subject to being kicked off the force, as it is tax money funded and also servants of the people. The people should also have the right just like a County Sheriff to keep or dismiss no?. Anyone else agree?.

    Not being from United States, I never understood the reason for such a huge gap between Police and Public.     100% agree he was the one upset and looking for confrontation. In your earlier videos you used to be better at highlighting the good cops. I think you should bring that back.     I really would like a dollar for every time I've heard an 'official' says that the auditor
    will not get a rise/confrontation from him/her, then proceed immediately to provide
    them with the confrontation they were trying so hard NOT to give. This trooper is a
