- Mercedes seems to have established an extremely impressive development path for the W15, and during the upcoming Grand Prix in Hungary they are likely to showcase a much better performance than last year. The team is gearing up for significant upgrades at Hungary and latest statements made by Hamilton and Wolff indicates that we will have 2 very competitive W15's. But with rival teams finding diminishing returns in development, can Mercedes find that tenth or two to be regular race winners starting from Hungary?

If only James was leading the development since the beginning of the new regulations
I don't think James is rooted deeply enuf in the F1 fraternity to receive the details of the new regulations as early as Red Bull, as in 2010, and 2022 being the second time for the Austrian team. The sport has been deeply corrupted by the Liberty Media group, whom, has also acquired the commercial rights to MotoGP and WSBK as well... deep sigh!

A realistic expectation from Mercedes. A tenth is a lot, amd that would give a confidence boost worth some hundredths. That's what they need to be the fastest team in F1.
Hope they get there, and also rooting for a Hamilton pole and race win at Budapest.

@@STE_FAN999 What he meant was that Mercedes was the overall fastest package across all types of conditions. Meaning if you take each team's pace in every condition we had during the race, on average, the Merc was the quickest car. This hasn't happened since 2021.

This also proves, Allison is a Gladiator.
W15 appears to have a higher development ceiling than any car on the grid. Fascinating to watch what essentially what was just a suspension update did to the attitude of the entire car.
That was an interesting change, one that Allison knows of from past experiences.

Imagine him getting it this season, it seems Very unlikely, I know.. but still, would be cool if they succeed. Still quite a few races to go, and if red bull doesnt catch up to McLaren and Mercedes, theres a slight hope for Hamilton. 🙏

Ferrari offered him a guaranteed 400M$ over 3 years. That's a significant raise for him.

Allison has the advantage of seeing the correct general way to build the car from Newey, IE focusing on mechanical platform control via the suspension. Newey did the suspension for 2022 RB and we saw they were the only team not plagued by porpoising. Allison comes in, nothing changes for the first little while, then they introduce a suspension upgrade and suddenly the car is competitive again. We have no way of knowing if Allison would have gone this direction on his own. They are both brilliant engineers with similar records and we can appreciate them both.

But unless such a thing happens, there's no possibility this season for Hamilton to get his eighth considering that we are half way done through the calendar and Max has more points different in between himself and Hamilton than the total points that Hamilton has. So it's a 0.0257% chance that Hamilton is going to come on top

Nobody can challenge RB or Ver. The championship and the team are owned by the same entity. It's that fans have got bored with watching RB winning and the body thought they should shake it up a bit. The whole thing is rigged. PERIOD.

This year's championship is Verstappens to lose. The constructors is a different story, until Checongains some kind of form, we will never know.
