- On this episode we feature Tommy's Porsche 911 GT3 RS that has been fitted with a Procharger P1-X.The GT3 RS comes with a Naturally aspirated 4.0L flat six that revs to 9,000 RPM from the factory, it sounds glorious in factory form... add boost and it takes the experience to a whole new level!

How would it? Only a turbo ruins exhaust notes because it actually uses the exhaust to make the boost. A procharger is belt driven. I don’t see how it could possibly ruin an exhaust note.

@@janetsminten8196 "Auto" lacks emotion and feel. Yes it's faster, but it has no driving feel unless you're at full throttle.
Top gear, smoking tire, Jensen button, people with FAR more experience behind crazy cars than you and I combined have all agreed that nothing is like a manual car with hydraulic steering.
You feel far less feedback with electric steering, and paddle shifting is asking the car permission to shift rather than you being in full control and one with the car.
Auto is nice in dense traffic though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m not big on the “bumper off” thing. I feel like people are just trying to show off. I would put the bumper back on and cut a nice big hole for that compressor wheel. That’s just me tho. Cool car either way.
Usually im not a big fan of the bumper delete but on this baby it fuckin slaps bro, look so nice and really gives that custom look. I almost never think it fits the car but for this one i really do

That this is unreal! Imagine upgrading the fuel system and putting 10 or 12psi through there on E85! 😍😍
E85 would definitely help due to the super high compression ratio. But I don't think a stock engine from the gt3rs could handle 12psi.
@@sutherlacd27 could be, but no one really knows where the limits are. That would be over 800 wheel.
15psi with good aftercooling essentially doubles hp

When it comes to boost I'd only ever consider a twin screw supercharger... but for this exact car this makes a lot of sense. Well done.

@@sutherlacd27 I don’t know his reason but Inconsistent boost and overall lag is just annoying to deal with, along with the varying pressure of the engine. I drive a twin turbocharged car and it can get annoying, sometimes the hood will fly up and away I go as I fly through the gears but there’s times where it will take ages to build boost. You don’t get this inconvenience with a supercharger, it’s moving all the time with your engine.

Procharger never fails to decimate. I been a fan of them since the 80's. And was saving for a kit.
Definitely my new favourite Porsche of all time that procharge kit is absolutely insane and looks just as good as it sounds and performs also that go pro is solid haha
Theory as to why it sounds so damn good: makes (similar to) turbo noises, without the turbo muffling its sweet flat six song.

I just seen it today and I was waiting for them to to drive it on the show so I could hear what it sounds like and they only shooting driving slowly then cut to the credits. I’m glad this thing sound Amy and rips!

@@momo.a4008 for me personally, it spoils "that moment" when you open the hood and really see all the surprises inside.. granted that doesn't quite apply because it's a 911 but that's why I said to make some slick qd system for the rear bumper. Keep everyone is suspense.. maybe with a little hint of that polished blower peaking through.

@@momo.a4008 because it looks silly I'm not sure when this no front or rear bumper craze started but it needs to end 😅. But that's just my opinion some love it some hate it . I would also think having no bumper would negatively affect handling and aerodynamics .

This was installed on girls garage lol. And RR-Racing install my Lexus supercharger kit. Love it its been super reliable.

Also since yours is facing that way I would but a turbo guard they make them for superchargers too.
I have it on my Lexus for the Rotrex supercharger and my turbo cars. You never know if anything can go in like a tiny rock. But pretty cool with only 8 psi and your ,asking that much. On my Lexus I’m making 15psi and running 40%E which is 500hp which is plenty for me, but not on your power level. But my Chevy SS built forged LS3 turbo now that has 1500hp.
How much was your supercharger kit
@@jlove24 I add every option available on stage 2 and e85 and all that headers and gauges and shipping car both ways cost a total of 12k.
If no transport then 10k

@@jlove24 yeh and there is alot more I'm missing man like labor to install it all. Then fuel computer and I so much stuff.
Now my Chevrolet SS build forged motor and built trans and fore triple pump fuel system all upgraded AN lines and custom turbo kit and like 5 pages long worth of work. That cost me 40k total. Enclose trailer to the shop and back another 5k probably.
1500hp. It's leaving next month.
But yeh man what car you have? Lexus or Porsche? Like either way it's worth it man. Makes it alot more fun and the kita are made super high quality.
Worth every dime and can still be driven like a daily

I am a fanboy and I think this is a great solution to maintaining the 9k rpm redline, flat 6 sound, and getting boost. It’s perfect IMO. Just needs the bumper back in place.

Jesus christ.. im a huge turbo guy, but I 10p% agree that a procharger was right with this car. It's such an amazing sounding car ready, you won't want to take away from that at all. Also, God damn at the speed they were going at. No pulling off a t all. Balls to the wall. Amazing video

Well gps would be useless without a way to get the data from the camera… so you need LTE or some form of cell service although i could imagine them having gps to show speed and where the recording took place

Nice car and sounds great, but bumperless cars (whether front or back) just like hoodless cars, aren't my cup of tea for a street car. Even actual competition race cars have hoods and bumpers.

I guess from the vacuum generated behind the car at high speed it will struggle to make much boost . i don't know would like to see boost at dyno vs boost at 200km/hr
Huh....the intakes face the flow of air and the pro charger is belt driven. Why would the vacuum section in the rear be any problem. Never has been for any Big power Porsche before
@@zethloveless7238 The Procharger is facing the rear and is mounted on the rear, so it would be getting the very opposite of a ram air effect. There would be a low pressure zone that would get worse and worse at speed. It needs a snorkel intake going to the front of the supercharger inlet.
@@jirace to be fair it seemed a bit unfinished and I would expect a snorkel as well to a better air source. I didn’t look at this project as finished nor did he seem to speak about it really being finished. At most right now he’s probably getting higher intake temps I would think 🤔
I was thinking exactly the same thing. They disconnected the side intakes that provide ram air and placed the intake in the lowest pressure zone at speed. And then they test it on a stationary dyno and think they're getting great numbers. Need to fix this poor engineering design. I'm curious how it does in the standing half mile. Post some numbers to prove me wrong (I have numbers from a stock .1 GT3RS to compare with).
