#DidYouKnow what "Abscissa" and "Ordinate" mean? They are just the x and y values: - Abscissa: the horizontal ("x") value in a pair of coordinates: how far along the point is - Ordinate: the vertical ("y") value in a pair of coordinates: how far up or down the point is ✅To learn more about Co-ordinate Geometry, enroll in our full course now: infinitylearn.com/cbse-fullcourse?TH-cam&DME&Tfm49rgvvDU To watch more videos related to Algebra, click here: bit.ly/QuantAlgebra_DMYT
quick question: does math law force you to label them x-horizontal and y-vertical, and if not can they be switched if the graph makes sense that way. (speaking about theory and possibility, not readability)
Much love and thank you for the video... what would also be helpful is a video that helps us understand how simple math relates to common geometry. How to "touch" a particular line using math, and this will pave the way for beginning game developers, in understanding the logic behind 2d/3d coordinate systems, and complex images that are created using simple basic shapes. What I've learned just by playing games, and through observation, is that regardless of what coordinate system is used, the end result must conform to the screen coordinate system on which all graphics are implemented. For instance, if you are drawing a line from the left to the right, would indicate (x+), because that would be an increase in the coordinate. Drawing a line to the left would be subtracting from the coordinates thus (x-), etc... Once you understand the principle, you can apply it wherever you recognize the need, BUT if you do not understand the logic, the individual is doomed to a life of copying and pasting foruma's without understanding what's happening, and in what circumstances such concepts should be utilized. Every formula has a proper place and time to achieve a purpose, and this is what's not being taught that clearly in the industry. PS I failed math. I don't know why, perhaps they didn't explain the concept very well, and how it relates to reality. Learning to divide one number by another, doesn't help you understand in what situations you need to divide two numbers from a worldly perspective, in business, or game programming. For instance, getting a scissors and cutting a piece of paper in two doesn't explain why you would want to cut the paper in two, unless you were making two paper airplanes.

its for coordinates. for example lets say someone said theres some natural disaster somewhere and they need help. They can't just say its in the mountains but rather say the coordinates e.g. "its in 40, 20 ,130" so they'll know exactly where its going on
why we call the horizontal line x axis and vertical line y axis????....Why we cannot call vert.line x axis and hori.line y axis....?????? Can I get the answer.....🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠
Yeah, don't mean to be rude or anything, but I can't really follow along with your accent, sorry. And uh its "Axis" no "Axes", this also wasn't that helpful, At the beginning of the vid you just sped up and said thing that came out of nowhere with no explanation
That's really useless, we're not grade 1😕 I need the other names of X and y like abscissa and domain, range and ??? And I needed the point of making one Or the most basic one How to use it, you just simply made a horizontal line and vertical, that's it 😶
Could you further explain....we love to hear feedback from our watchers, and would be more than happy to improve our videos. Thank you from the Don't Memorise team, from Ahmed Sinhar.
