In Canada for 6 months now , Costco is our monthly go to , we use the burlington as its the closest to Milton. Cant beat costco on the POP, toilet paper and cereal. We have soul food sunday with some other SA peeps and we make home curry, beans bunnychow, potato salad, malva pudding etc its always a treat
Ohhhh, that all sounds soooo delicious!!! We used to go to either the Burlington or Mississauga Costco when we lived in Oakville. We go to Costco monthly as well. If y’all have a braai when summer comes around again, we’d love to join 😃
Good vlog busi... I'm in a small town in Nova Scotia and Costco is in Halifax which is like a 2 HR drive... I'm a new immigrant so this is very beneficial to me..
Try the boston mix popcorn its in a blue packet , really good. I must say i miss our food from home the most here they only know of salt that what they call flavour
I’ll definitely try it next time we go. The salt 😩 I fully agree with you! The more salt food has the more “flavour” it’s supposed to have, I doubt I’ll ever get used to it 😅
Costco is a store you buy in bulk . if you don’t have one then you have a Sam club or a Restaurant depot. But you can only buy with memberships or a day pass I buy all my paper goods there like paper towels toilet paper and Mouthwash toothpaste . Not to much food because my family isn’t large.
Hey Busi am around April 2023 I should be in Canada British Columbia as emergency fire officer, was working at eskom majuba power station mpumalanga but currently working in Dubai... like all the videos and I subscribed. Thank you guys.
Interesting. I also worked at Majuba. I worked as welding engineer on the coal silo rebuilt project and served as welding engineer between 2014 and 2018
Glad to hear you love the videos Robvember, thanks for subscribing. Thami (my husband) also worked at Eskom 😄 it’s such a small world. I hope you’re enjoying your time in Dubai and hope you’ll love BC once you come to Canada next year 🙌🏾
Hey busi G I'm from cape town and I've been following you for like 3 months now on TH-cam your videos are really interesting and insightful, im actually studying project management because I wanna make the change and immigrat to Canada 🇨🇦 with my family and I wanted to maybe ask you a few questions regarding the move how would I do that via email? I just wanted to make sure I am studying the rite field that will get me and wife and kids in
Hey Cb, I receive too many emails and DMs than I have bandwidth to go through at the moment. I do offer chat sessions though where I can answer your questions based on my experiences and what’s I’ve been exposed to. Oh wow, really?? No, we haven’t been to Halifax yet. This one was in Niagara Falls and the first Costco video I shared on the channel a year ago was in Mississauga.
Thanks for sharing Busi. Yoh wholesales give me anxiety, nditsho noMakro lo, and this looks huge🙉 so are the part of your monthly/weekly groceries? How do you spend roughly per month on groceries?
I used to love Makro when I was still in SA. Did a lot of bulk shopping for the family there. We go to Costco monthly and use normal supermarkets throughout the month to top up on things like bread fresh fruits & veggies. We average around $500 a month.
Thanks for an updated grocery shopping video, But i think they should have inkomazi maybe under a different brand name maybe or Inkomazi is simply an African milk lol… I think you spent around 250 CAD.
We’ve been hoping we’ll find it even under a different name but nothing has come up yet. We tried the Kefir when we first saw it because it’s described as demented milk but it’s not exactly like it. I’m still hopeful 😅 With the grocery amount guess, you’re a bit lower than what it was 🥲 I’ll tell you the exact amount in a day just to give a few more the chances to guess.
I would think it should be a bit below 200 🥲 it was higher, I’ll tell you the exact amount in a day just to give others a bit of time to guess as well. Edit for update: it was $385 🥲

Oh okay I was way off😅. But food is so expensive these days.
@@segobernice2103 that’s true, and the cost keeps climbing 🥲
Knowing Costco, I think you spent around $580 or just above $600.
That’s a lot a lot 😥 it was $385 🥲
@@busi.global Not too bad at all, in BC it would have very easily crossed the $400+
