I can imagine you watching the first movie and just fuming when you were constantly teased by an obscured calendar.
What I remember most about Curse 2 is when i was 18 and working at the local video store. People would come in and say "you got that movie where that guy's arm turns into a snake?" At first I had no idea what they were talking about. It turns out someone had stolen the movie and never returned it, it was years later that I found out what it was called.
I never forget the cruse movie. It freaked me out when I was a teen.
its really cool that you covered ' The Curse' franchise....I saw the first one in around 1988 on HBO when I was a little kid, and the mother character scared the crap out of me.........I really like curse 2 as well ~

I watched the second one as a kid and took me almost 28 years to remember the title and rewatch it lol
I... I had no idea there was a whole franchise.
I was only aware of the first movie ( in Italy the title was The Cursed Farm)!

Oh, that was a fun ride. Thanks Josh. :-) I enjoy all these movies and personally include 1987's (or 1989's, depending on who you ask,) Dark Tower in the series. It was apparently marketed at some point as The Curse V.

i didn’t include Dark Tower because it was only called Curse 5 on some random bootleg versions. it was a pretty weird thing.
and yeah, i managed to get my hands on Deafula, and it was pretty wild!
I actually purchased the first one on VHS about... fifteen years ago? Something like that. It was second hand, but in pristine condition. I've watched it twice over the years, which I am thinking it at least one more time than the previous owner. It's not bad. I wouldn't mind seeing it receive some sort of cult following.

I remember the second one mostly, I saw the first but rewatched the second all the time as a kid

nice! donna’s your mom? that’s pretty awesome. i went through a period of really digging the transgressive wave, and falling for Lydia lunch and Richard kern, and nick zedd as well. i just found out that he passed on earlier this year. tell your mom that i used to show Geek Maggot Bingo to whoever would sit and watch it. lol.
This is really funny, I just showed the first two films to a friend in April. Def some obscure C grade movies right here
I do remember renting the Curse 1 & 2 from a place called The Video Zone back in 1990 and being disappointed they had nothing to do with each other.
I enjoyed aspects of all of these! It's a minor miracle that none of them are terrible lol
yeah, they’re all pretty watchable. i actually really enjoy the first 2, and the other ones are decent.

I miss these 80s series of movies where they are all unrelated and just use the same title. Beyond the Door, Zombi, Demons, House. There's always a nice mix bag of fun to discover.
Love the 1st 2 movies forgot alot about the 3rd and never knew there was a 4th movie
I saw and loved the first 2 Cursed movies 8n the early 90s. They were both very creepy and very gross. I would love to watch them again, but seem pretty tough to track down...

Last year I sought out a lot of Lovecraft films and watched this 'series'. While it's 4 completely unrelated films, I did enjoy them all for the most part. The first 2 have that fun Italian thing going, the 3rd has Christopher Lee which is enough and the 4th is a Charles Band Empire Joint, which is always enough.
The first movie is just too gross for me. There's a line between "scary" and "disgusting" I don't like crossing and that one crosses the line several times for me. Only one bit I thought was genuinely disturbing - the shot of the mom still moving helplessly as she dissolves into goo. That gave me shivers.
I like The Bite a lot more. Not great, but fun nasty grindhouse horror.
Haven't seen the other alleged sequels.
All I can say is don’t ever watch “Dead Alive” if you don’t like disgusting

i have! it was pretty early on. i think it was Timeline Episode 20? i went to the shooting locations for that one.

I remember seeing this when it came out.... I thought a Will Wheaton movie looks safe. The food was disgusting and the Mom in the basement scared the s*it out of me!! I actually thought it was a decent movie. 🍿
The first two are a laugh riot. Never seen the third.

Uncanny! I planned to post The Curse on my website later today cos I noticed it's legitimately free to watch on TH-cam. I'd already covered Curse II and III - both fun in their own ways. Curse IV was released as Catacombs here in the UK but all I recalled about it - until your video - was that it wasted a talented cast in a rather dull storyline.

I own all these. It is funny how the fourth was actually created before the third. I like the first one and think it’s pretty good. The second has some annoying parts, but it actually has some fairly cool ideas. I didn’t really like the third, the main actress was annoying to me personally, but I also just generally don’t like films in that setting. I thought the fourth was pretty boring.
Hahaha wtf? That's the most hilariously apt movie title/actor combination ever. Is the curse the inability to ever get steady work again after spending your teenage years playing one of the most reviled characters in sci-fi history?

not yet. it’s on the list though. it’s another one that i have had on the schedule like 3 different times, and for some reason keep pulling it.
None of the other films had anything to do with the original except the same name. They were trying to cash in on the success of the original.
how about some Asian horror timelines? Tomie, The Eye, All Night Long, Evil Dead Trap, Art of the Devil, R*pe Zombie (just to name a few).
I’ve done Tomie, and of course the Grudge and One Missed Call. I’m planning on doing the Eye movies pretty soon here, and I’ll add the others to the roster!
