Wow...fantastic interview. I have read the Sympathizer and seen the series. I can relate to Mr. Nguyen not knowing what love was as a youngster. Thank you for this beautiful piece.
You probably meant that you feel privileged (not this author)? Or did you mean that any foreign person who is admitted into the US (especially for non-economic reasons) should really be considered privileged (which is a fair point, although this particular author would probably strongly disagree with it).
