Redid the suggested steps. I needed the 2nd option, bc there was no erase iPhone button. After 3 attempts and hurting fingers, it finally finished. Viola! “Hello” Super grateful! Thank you so much! This was the only useful video I found all day, The step that no-one documents on the articles/guides is that once the phone is powered off, you have to hold the home + lock button together and "keep them held" until the apple logo changes into the recovery screen, thank you!

I tried these steps but my iPhone isn't connected to the internet. The erase phone button is not showing and the update process crashes and restarts when using a computer. Any other fixes

Try to unlock your phone via recovery mode
@@bytefurther when I try recovery mode it says it has to update then stops updating after a couple of minutes and just switches on
