It needs to replace this is not about seconds and minutes,when the windows buttons are damaged it will stop working you can use your keys just press and hold your key lock button it will close if keep and hold open from key it will down the windows so you needs to replace your windows buttons if you want to open it from inside
Just picked up our new 2017 seat ateca 2.0 xcellence from the car garage, everything was working brilliant repeatedly throughout the drive and now when I get 8 hours away from the garage (home) the drivers side rear window won't open or close and the folding mirrors now won't fold in unless I manually do it with the dial on the door but they won't fold back out then. We've tried reseting the windows and still no luck. Is it possible this rear window not functioning I'd causing the automatic mirrors to not work ?
@ turns out it was a broken window actuator (the motor that rolls the window up and down). The window was up but the car read it as open so it wouldn’t fully lock the car which in turn stopped the mirrors from folding shut. Replaced the window actuator and not had the issue pop up again 🙂
@@MadZprod23 i tried opening and closing the window through the key with the opening button and it worked.but when i use the two interior buttons it does not go up or down. .I believe that I have a problem with the button and not with the actuator.
@ if the window goes up and down then it’s not the actuator, your window sounds like it’s working correctly. Have you tried changing your key battery, that could possibly be causing it or if you have after market wind deflectors on there it could be stopping the window going up fully making the car think the window is down and won’t lock. Try those two and see how you get on.

This procedure must be carried out for a window that has jammed in the cold. Sometimes it will be the back window.
