I’m so sorry for your loss. God gifts us with precious and very special love for these sweet creatures. The love they return to us is equally dear.
He did the same with me. The day I lost my dog, He blessed that day so much, and before I got home, I wondered why it was such a good day. Then when I got home and found out my dog was gone, I felt sad, but grateful because it felt like God had given me a big hug. So thinking about how good a day it had been made, I wasn't too sad. (He (the dog) is still alive. My family had to give him to the SPCA.) So I understand what you're going through. I bawled my eyes out days before he was gone. I held him in my arms while crying. He's a shih-tzu.
