this his ministry he is giving solutionHow on how to live because we all don’t get it but he does and this is his ministry the entire world through his music when he is in a bad place mentally is how I see it
I respect your opinion....however, I feel like you’re assuming a lot about him. We know the music side of him. He is a very private person who says the music is a therapy for himself. But he also recognizes it helps others too and he embraces it. That’s not a bad thing. I would guess he spiritually deals with his problems also. (Yes, I realize that now I’M the one assuming) Only reason I say that is he isn’t afraid to speak on his faith in his music. Everybody is different. We all deal with things in different ways. Spiritually dealing with issues is by far the best way, but maybe some need more. Life is not one size fits all. Maybe I’m way off on what you were trying to say, if so, my apologies.......good reaction, sir. Good luck with your channel.
Hey Chris, I appreciate the civility of your comment so much! I’m definitely not demonizing NF’s willingness and efforts of embracing the change he’s making in others lives. That’s not a bad thing at all. As much as God is the source of all our help, no doubt he can use NF to help others. It’s fair to say that I’m assuming a lot because I don’t know what he does behind close door and or how he deals with his faith so thanks for calling me out on that. However, I was looking at this more critically (not from the content of his spiritual character) but more so from the context of the lyrics. One thing I may disagree with in your comment is when you said that he isn’t afraid to speak on his faith in his music; that could open up the floor for a whole ‘nother conversation but tbh a lot of secular artist “speak on their faith” and acknowledge God. What I’m in conflict with isn’t whether or not he throws a one liner mentioning God. (Which is of very little effect to anyone) but how fervent and effectual his heart is for God which would translate to words/deeds because the Bible tells us that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. In my defence, I have no major problem with the music, I just have more expectations - and I’ve just been conflicted for a while now about what I’ve been listening to as I grow in my walk with Christ. This could be because I’m growing in a new season of my walk with God and my mentality won’t be the same, so the music doesn’t translate the same as much anymore. “Life is not a one shoe fits all” totally agree with you there, which is why I’m not trying to be a gatekeeper of truth or anything like that. I guess things just inevitably feels different in different times of our lives. Thanks for encouragement and take good care!
I don’t think this song is dark at all. It’s uplifting and brilliant.
Totally. I only had a problem with singing about “my car going off the highway” line. Not something I want to speak into existence.
Well what if it happened to you and no one got what
Very positive song don’t look at the courses being bad it’s telling them that if this happens remember what I’m saying and that’s the purpose
