I use a polygon stratos s3 and it is my first road bike and i love it. No need for an expensive road bike, just love this bike. I think bikes should be affordable for everyone 👍
Hi, I have seen Polygon bikes on mtb with good results, but I don't know how this brand works on road bikes. How has this bike worked for you so far??. Gretting from Chile.
Hi, full transparency I have sold this bike recently to start a new build, but if you want to buy a ready to ride bike, the polygon road bikes are great value and if you are on a budget I cannot recommend them enough! if you have any further questions feel free to message me on instagram ill be happy to help any way I can
nice one! I bought a Marin Gestalt 2 at about the same price for more gravel riding and bikepacking but now looking at a dedicated road bike for fitness and this was on my radar due to pricing. Do you think it would be worth looking at say the S8 for the full carbon frame? How did you find the allow frame?
i think the alloy frame at this price point is definetly the right spot, i am planning to upgrade many of the parts. if you are after the carbon frame i would reccomend canyon bikes, and the advantage to alloy is if you crash it it will cope better. hope this helped
Have you tested Triban RC520 Road Bike or SAVA Warwind5.0 Carbon Road Bike I’ve been looking for a first time long distance bike with some speed and light weight?
Hi mate I’m tossing up between this and a gravel bike like the giant contend ar 2 Do you think this would be as good as the giant on unsealed paths if it has the rights tyres? I’m after a bike I csn do long rides on and then weekend rides with the kids on bike paths
It’s on sale atm otherwise I would of just stuck with the giant Other than tyres what else would u need to set it up? I’m completely new to this have only ride mountain bikes in the past
Drpending on your budget, you might find the s5d on sale and use the rest of the money for upgrades on saddle, wheelset...etc or the S7D and upgrading it.
@@awheeliegoodtime well if you look carefully in the FAQ section of Strattos S5 you'll see that they answer the question about drivetrain. It's a mix of Tiagra and 105
@@yeshwanthpalle7314 also i just checked the website, my bike (the stattos S5 disc) officially has full 105 and the non disc brake model has some tiagra bits. hope that clarifies things
you could get away with them i believe but it is quoted to fit 28c, probs depends on tire brand and things like that, but i would recommend the pirelli 26c for this bike

Great review. When is the next model expected? With the latest 105
Change the wheelset. I saw a Malaysian cyclist upgrade some parts of his strattos s5, and get 8.5 kg easy.
Do you have the video/post link?
nice video, but i loved the cycling road you are riding on. what place is it?
Hi! What is the largest size of tyres you can use on this bike?
i am fairly sure 30c tyres would fit but i recommend 28c

does this have the clearance to put gravel tires on?
if the gravel tires are less than 30c then yes

@@awheeliegoodtime that's great thanks mate
Hi sir, how Your impression abt S5 for a long ride?
Did you ever change the wheels? How much did the originals weigh?
the originals weigh about 2000 grams, and i have not changed them as of yet
Hi, does it have toe overlap problem? what's your height and bike size?
i find the bike is really good and toe overlap is not an issue, the bike is size large and i am 5'11
Have you tested Triban RC520 Road Bike or SAVA Warwind5.0 Carbon Road Bike I’ve been looking for a first time long distance bike with some speed and light weight?
i have not tested these bikes yet as i am fully self funded
Great review thanks, how did you find the sizing?
the sizing seems spot on, id say if your in between sizes size down. im on a size large and i am 5'11 and the position is perfect.
@@awheeliegoodtime thanks I'm the same height so good to know

as long as you set it up correctly for the conditions, it would be perfect. hope that helps
It’s on sale atm otherwise I would of just stuck with the giant
Other than tyres what else would u need to set it up? I’m completely new to this have only ride mountain bikes in the past
other than the tyres all you would need is bottle cages and pedals
Any updates on the bike? I’m debating between the S5D or the S7D
get the s8d

It's actually not a groupset but a mix of tiagra and 105. Interesting bike
surprisingly enough i received a full 105 groupset on my bike

Also is the frame race or more upright position?
It's marketed as allround buy it's pretty long and low. Almost like the giant tcr
What size is this bike?
medium, with 700c wheels

30c may fit but i recommend 28c
