Going to be an amazing new chapter in our lives. I found your channel from your Ranger Review, knowing where we are moving, you know why we are looking for a new boat. We have been Kayak Fishing all over our home state for several years now. But knowing we are going to be so close to two awesome lakes, looking for a bass boat as well. That is “Government Ditch” I’ve lived here by the lake for many years. It’s very beautiful and I’d watch out for the bats, snakes and gators. Great fishing though! Just leave the spoonbills alone. We need them and they are indigenous to the lake.

I grew up on Caddo Lake but live in Austin now. My family’s lake house was about 200 yards from the mouth of Govt Ditch. Its the most amazing place in the country, hands down. Hit me up if you need someone to run around with y’all and show you around.
I’d rather live somewhere closer to the coast so I could get on some reds and flounder, but I do feel really lucky to live less than hour from this place. Amazing fishing and so many cool places to explore in a kayak

Oh man I gotta tell you this my aunt has a house in the town I live in and it’s in a gated community and it has basically a super big pond or you could call it a little lake but you can fish from her back yard and I found out they have a mini boat ramp for small boats and kayaks so I’m gonna eventually put my little 8.5ft sun dolphin I have with a minn kota 50lbs thrust trolling motor with a fish finder but basically I went and fished from her back yard so very limited to where I can cast and fish and lucky they were just stacked right by her back yard I forgot my GoPro it would have been a great first video to post to TH-cam because I caught 8 fish almost back to back to back on the klutch in sriracha craw! I was surprised I caught one bass that was almost 3 pounds but then to catch 7 more the same size in the same spot was ridiculous but I was burning and pausing the klutch and they would smack the hell out of it on the pause. Just pure madness I’ve never experienced anything like that before especially 10 minutes from my house in my aunts back yard lol crazy they were all just about the same size also just about 3 pounds. I love the klutch ive caught so many fish with it this year but now I’m done talking lmao keep up the fire content for us

@@WestinSmith no doubt, come back and fish the lake soon. I went out last week after the freeze and noticed “most” all of the salvania has died off and the water is clearing up a lot. In the next couple of weeks the water temp will be warming back up and it’s going to get good...

Caddo is a beautiful place. I usually fish there 3-4 days a month all year.
