Thanks for the thorough and patient explanations. I like how you give both the literal and the actual meanings of the idioms. My quiz answers below: ① hy → "sh" as in shirt ② nansa → 3 days ③ busuafoɔ → family ④ Mepa wo kyɛw kɔhyɛ wo nika → Please, go wear (put on) your shorts ⑤ Yɛbɛnom adidi → We will drink and eat. • [Yɛrebɛnom adidi → We are about to (going to) eat and drink.] ⑥ Anigyeɛ wɔ me krom → Happiness/joy is in my town. (My hometown is fun) ⑦ Yɛnkɔdi agorɔ → Let's go play (or socialize) with others.
@@missgoldtwi2482 Thanks. LOL. Me, give you lessons 😂😂😂 if that happens then that would be a miracle. I do spend a bit of time going over your lessons before answering and it does help me tremendously. I still have a very long way to go though. The two major areas where I still need tons of help are with understanding people talk at normal pace and the pronunciation of words. Your lessons really help.
Medase for the Twi lessons. I appreciate the use of the Twi letters ) and 3. I never learned an Akan language as a child. Now I can communicate more in Twi with my Dad who speaks English and Fante.😃
Thanks for this. This style of learning makes of change from the typical speak and recite that we are so used to seeing. Not that there's anything wrong with the traditional learning, but I feel this video makes it more fun. I will say that learning from songs is a much harder endeavour. But we persevere!
Hey i like your Work. Keep up with your work. You do a great thing in this world and it helps me and a lot of other people too. i am glad i have found your channel. One step closer to my goal. Thank you and i hope you upload new videos soon.

7. Lets go and play. I think you got confused with 'di' meaning 'eat', which is usually does within a food context. So i completely understand. Well done, this last one was a tricky one💚
Due to the expressions, idioms, etc used in songs translating word for word doesn’t do justice to the message or meaning of the song. Interesting format though, I enjoyed the video, but maybe choose simpler songs for the beginners and leave the more complex songs for an advanced or intermediate lesson. Case in point: “me nan si kwan so” is an idiom that simply means “I’m on my way” . Translating it word for word as “my leg is on the road “ neither gives the correct idea nor shows proper usage of the language. PS: I’m not trying to be critical, just a thought. I could never do what you’re doing and I’m really just impressed.
